A.I Characteristics

I know EXACTLY what you mean man. I've grinded many a Nordschleife seasonal (I usually use a detuned LMP) and its impossible to get by them! I get so frustrated, and that frustration turns into impatience. My impatience leads to trying to pass them on the grass because there's no room on track, which can often lead to a spin. It's extremely frustrating, as a lot of times that's my only opportunity to pass them, because like you said, I'm stuck on their back bumpers corner after corner. :grumpy:

Heh, that's why I enjoy those seasonals! Having to be patient, picking your spot to pass in advance, timing yourself so you don't rear end the A.I., keeping yourself on track. Respecting the A.I.'s line like it's a real person on track.

A few things I've been doing to keep myself more interested are adding my own weight as ballast, using completely stock cars w/ no added downforce etc. Now I'm starting to use Sports Tires instead of Race Hards. Since I can't change the A.I., the best I can do is handicap myself so it's not so frustrating to be on track with slow in, slow out drivers.

Certainly easier races to grind too. Cape Ring FF is a cash cow.

If you're a good REAL driver that doesn't make me feel like I would be in danger of getting taken off the road if I pass you, then I have all the patience in the world, but if you're an annoying AI car or a hack driver all over the road and still not letting me pass when my car is clearly quicker than yours (good luck staying ahead of my tuned NSX on a twisty track with anything but a full out race car.. Won't happen... The car is so fast people with modified super cars have run off the road trying to stay with it) that's when I start to get mad and either knock you off the road (AI) or pressure you

Wrecked huge just after Aremberg on the nurburgring thanks to a slow 🤬 GT-R..

I got caught behind him at the exit (i usually do double their speed through the corner itself.. And then this particular Skyline TC is set up with over 700 horsepower.. So when i hit the gas.. It simply takes off) and swerved to avoid him, i was going too quick (i took the corner so much faster than him that i didnt even see him til the exit.. and bu the time we got to the exit i had a serious run on him), i swerved too hard (i was going to spin if i hit him) and got sucked off the road toward the wall on the left side.. bounced off, spun, and was promptly hit in the side by the SC430 behind.. Because it was already spinning this first impact popped up one side of the Nissan, The RX8 behind that car was right up the Lexus' bumper, so when the SC430 bounced off the Skyline back into the RX8 it got shoved into the Skyline again about a millisecond later, the impact of both cars sent mine flying.. It landed on its nose and spun like a top all the way across the track where it hit the wall and the back end pivoted over, using the engine as a leverage point to flip the car on its roof, the car then barrel rolled back onto its wheels and skidded to a halt.. Seriously the game punishes me because their computer cars drive like a 🤬 grandma, nothing infuriates me more than meeting a slow car in Aremberg.

Their intrinsic characteristics can be improved slightly through the development of their driving skills, but not to the extent that might please you with that. :D
