A little offtopic but: would you like Maisto por any other diecast company to do a VGT collection?

Hi everyone.

One of my favorites hobbies is collecting diecast models of cars, planes and bikes (most cars).

The other day while watching the gallery from the Toyota FT-1 VGT I was thinking how I would love to have, not only that car but all The VGT cars in a Diecast collection (including The X2014 and the GT by Citröen)

I don't know how difficult could be due licensing, but I think that doing a diecast collection of The VGT would be a good idea and a nice detail by PD and any diecast company (Maisto, kyosho dbugaro)

Would you love to have diecast models from VGT cars too?

Well you might not be aware but GT has a bit of a long-time relationship with AUTOart. Quite a chunk more money than Maisto models though, they even have the first RedBullX2010.

AUTOart doesn't list them neatly on their website, and I couldn't find a site that shows them all but I know it was on the News page here at GTPlanet years back.

My goodness they look sweet. Post links where I can buy them, and I hope they do all the VGT cars, I'd love to get a Nissan 2020 VGT

Well from what I've seen they come in at about $300 a piece, they obviously quite rare to find but it seems Ebay, Amazon and several other online shops have 1 or 2 in stock. The autoart webshop only has some in stock.

Wow, to pricey for me, I'll take a new Picco or Novarossi Nitro engine for my RC's before I buy that, I'll build a model instead. Hmmm now I wonder if they will make VGT models lol

lol, ya that be one heck of modeling/casting job to do all the VGT's.. however those are highly detailed 1:18 models, if PD asked them to do 1:43's it might be ok, AUTOart also made the diecasts that came in the Collector's Editions of GT5 and 6 at 1:43.

I would like to see VGT cars in 1:64 scale.

Good idea and it never occurred to me. I collect models in 1:18, with the odd 1:12, so that scale would be ideal. The downside with that though is some can be very expensive - €250 Bugatti Veyron my priciest one yet.

There wouldn't be many I'd purchase though as I'm very particular in what I buy. It tends to be racing cars I've a soft spot for such as the Toyota GT-one or Bentley Speed 8.

Let's see some more VGT cars first...
