A.R.C#2 ( Round 1 - Deep Forest II )

I seem to be doing the t-2 time in range but have discovered in analyzing/analizing

the replay, that I have always taken a slightly illegal line in the subsequent corners. Bad habit to break- 10 times later, make that hard habit to break... :banghead:

BTW Werner, Your Ford Escort must be better than my Ford Escort :lol:

Either that or I can't seem to find the actual accelerator pedal in mine... :lol:

Edit: Twenty five times later make that a downright frustrating and nearly impossible habit to break :banghead:

I can run right back there at the tail of the pack with the best of 'em. Specially in a "nice" Escort (Queen of the Grocery Getters)!!! :lol:

Now just watch... If not you, I'll bet someone's gonna actually run one of these things and beat me and then come back here and gloat!!! :trouble:

Here's a thought (make that nightmare): What if Mr P changes the rules and makes us all drive the Wetscort in the last race??? :scared:

ok, maybe i'm not too crap after all

made some setup changes and figgered the shifting/gearbox concept with a little help from me mate Mr P.

45.5 now. a little faster is in the works, i just need a little more oomph to hit my goal. there's a setting tweak out there to get me into the low 45's i'm sure.

tried another concept and went from high 45.5 to low 45.4. that's it for tonight, my thumbs are no longer used to heavy useage. 100 miles now feels like 500 in the old days

I've tried another car and so far the best T2 I've seen is a 46.5..

Haven't done the race yet, will do that tonight.

T2 now down to 45.1 although not with regularity. i guess the fastest rally cars are just the fastest everywhere 👍

I agree... I'm somewhat new to this online stuff but it sure is a lot harder to make "noise" in the thread when all you can post is T-2 times.

Finally ran my first sub-45.5 last night... Got so excited I did cookies for the fans :lol:

Man this car does good ones. Then I went to try for another sub-45.5 thinking I was the stuff and had found the secret "tweak". Nope... just got lucky on the line and not sure where it was because I forgot to save a replay. I think it is somewhere between the start and T-2 that I've been messin' up though

Ok guys here's an update to the rules ....

As this is a Rally comp and Rally is about Dirt driving! You Will be allowed to run 4 tyres on the dirt between T1 and the finish line

Absolutely No Cutting Bend 1 uphill

You can have 4 wheels on the dirt but not 4 wheels on the grass..

2 on the grass and 2 on dirt is ok .

Please follow these Rules !!! I hope this helps people to find a few more tenths 👍

As always though.... No wall contacts of any kind please

btw: this is not saying i have a dirty save or anything, it's just something that has been mentioned a few times and thought it best to adapt the rules to the questions at hand

Great stuff, Greg. I owe you one, so here you are:

Problem area 1): From start to T2. For me it all boils down to staying on the line and keeping the momentum.

Problem area 2) From T2 to finish-line. Doing cookies for the fans resulting in a big momentum loss, that cannot be picked back up.

Hope this helps whoever might be struggling...

No... No... No... You misunderstood me... I wanna know where the shortcut is BEFORE the T-2 mark :lol:

As for this shortcut... We aren't really saying I just spent 75 laps trying to break the bad habit I had of leaving the tarmac slightly at this juncture and now it's okay to sin here? Are we? :trouble:
