I found an hour last night to give this run another go and concluded by the end of MY session that if Mr. P or GT3mich PICK any deeper, their noses are probably going to start bleeding :lol:

I can pretty much guarantee I ain't gonna get to that kind of T2.

oh woe is me. i actually appear to be getting slower as time progresses. damn i suck. i'm a shell of a shell of what i once was and that's sad. i'm sucking so bad that i'm beginning to develop an affinity for moose kak.

Just got to post that my 3 year old daughter just did a lap round tahiti 2 while i was making something to eat:tup:

Riddle me this Phattman??? (Meaning no-one in particular and anyone in general of course.)

I know at one time I questioned UB57 why the time in the analyzer was slightly less than what actual time registered on the save was. I don't remember the answer he gave me verbatum however, I was satisfied at the time.

Here is the next question... while I was just watching a replay (not in analyzer) last night, the save on the outside was one time but in watching the replay the time was different. Is this the same thing as when in the analyzer? If so, then how can I trust the T-Times from the replay as well?

What numbers do I use? :confused:

I hate being a newbie to OLR!!! :irked:

It's like I have to ask somebody everything.

Hiya Pardner:

To the best of MY Limited knowledge, the clock seems to quit about One "Frame" before the finish line. Your "Overall Time" is the only one in error, not to worry about "T-times."
Accepted OLR Policy is to Post your "Outside Time" as you refer to it, NOT the time from the visual replay or analyzer. Hope this helps & if I'm in error, someone Please correct me! 👍...UB57

Partly true UB ... the T times in the replay from replay theatre are also a tiny bit faster than the actual lap T times you see whilst driving the lap, and that is why the overall time is slightly faster (now that explains the faster lap coz them T times are a bit faster and you add it up it gives you a quicker end time right?)

I usually post my sectors from replay theatre they can give me an extra .1 sometimes :sly:

Odd thing is ... in a time trial replay all sectors and the total time are spot on with the run you done in session, it only seems to be free run hotlaps it affects :odd:

Also, not got any sectors yet ...went to run a few laps last night and Tahiti Circuit II just will not load :banghead:

Ron tried the other GT3 disc tonight and that's doing the exact same :odd:

It is soooo quiet in here it sounds hollow... like an empty cave

Ya know people... Just because them fast guys posted them killer T2 times doesn't mean you're wasting your time posting your own improvements/little victories/blewits and such. There is still a bunch of other racers who want to "feel the pace" and check how they are "stacking up" with the competition.

I also think it was more helpful and interesting to see both T-Times instead of just T2 times and especially from the fast guys so the rest can "eyeball em" and decide where in the world they can get better. :odd:

I have a pretty good save with T1/T2 of 26.9/58.8... :cool:

Other General Musings...

Sometimes it seems like when I am running these laps, the game messes with the time. It's like I'll run a lap with a fair T1 time around 27.xxx. Then, coming through on the next lap, I smoke through first bend, deftly slip back left and "smooze" the next like I'm Mario Andretti. Then I expertly hang tight and smooth through the next tight left and apex the subsequent right hander just perfect and I'm feeling good about my bad self cause I know I just kicked some proverbial butt through this section. Then the T1 time pops up like its some kinda arrogant olympic judge telling me I just gave up .5 seconds off my previous T1. "SAY WHAT??? NO WAY!!!" (I'm yellin' at the game and my wife comes running to see what's wrong.. then just rolls her eyes at the ole phattboy like I'm a dork.)

After I dropped my controller on the floor about midway through my session last night, the little vibrator motors quit working in it. Really made me mad until I realized, I was suddenly going faster around the track. :banghead:

DOH!!! Why didn't I turn off the stupid vibrator thingys in Rally a long time ago?? :banghead:

(Dumber than a box of rocks I tell ya)

Here is another thing: I'll bet ya the pot that when this all shakes out, most all of us are running the same car

Can ya tell I'm on a break here and bored?

Did Ron maybe "smoke" Tahiti with them afterburners he's running? Maybe GT3mich sent out LDM to do some dastardly deed? :lol:

Just got 2 new dual-shocks last night. Uhhh, it acquires some adjustment to my thumb technique. The car is very hard to turn, when you're used to a rather loose stick. I guess I need some serious thumb-building. :lol:

I also got myself a X-port. Hope downloading some of your replays will help me improving on my driving, as I obviously don't need it to confirm any of my times.

Do you guys know any good X-port sites, that could be helpful for me? I only know of Famines and Daans. And I already downloaded the GT3gEdit.

You've got all you need. There are some "Saves" available with "Lots of Credits" or "All the F-1 Cars" or "All the Red Cars" etc, but you can do that yourself w/MK's + Famine & Daan's help. I would however contact Werner and get a copy of his "Fastest Cars in GT3 Garage." A lot of what "little" I know about chassis tuning I "Gleaned" from trying different cars from his Garage. 👍 ...UB57
