thanks for the invite but i'll wait for the real thing cos i reallllly do not like rallying EDIT: OFF TARMAC in gt4. its just not right and i wonder why pd bothered to add it to the system. tarmac driving is absolute heaven but off tarmac is hell.
hope you let me know soon when to get ready for arc.

This race series is well known and it's been around since GT3. From the start it used to be an all rally event, but as you say, not many people enjoy the rally races right now as much as they did in GT3.

I don't like rally in GT4 either, but out of 8 races (8 weeks) ,there will only be 2 dirt races, and those are not the hardest rally tracks out there, but driveable ones.

Ron promised the rally races wouldn't be too hard, so plenty of fun ahead!

Nice to see another Dutch guy join the ARC action. :)

so i'm not the only old dutch fart that likes to fool around with gt4 AND be in contact with other fans. great.
i already play in wrs and will in jgtc but arc will be a pleasant distract.

in my country april 1st is fools day ... i hope it's not a joke and i hope the race series is not a joke as well.
when do we get to know cars and tracks? one combo each week?
can't wait, it's a good distraction after many wrs submits.

As far as I know April 1st is Fools day practically worldwide :) I can assure you that I am not messing around and posting a joke to play on April 1st :dopey:
I have run this comp on 3 previous occasions and when you get to see how fast some of the drivers taking part will be .... maybe then you will think the joke is in effect :sly:

But this is for real and I will post race 1 this coming Saturday afternoon and we can kick this thing into action 👍

as you said ... 8 races over 8 weeks 1 combo per week and you will find out the combo on the day I post it! ;) ...... stick around this will be fun :cool:

Sorry I never replied sooner as I missed this :dunce:

No you wont be knocked out if you are in the top 3 and no replay to show! But I would expect some form of proof that you done the said lap legally ... maybe an mpeg replay or some form of run through details regarding your lap in way of sectors and speeds for certain parts of the track ... but the main thing is to keep the said replay on your memory card and it can be uploaded at a later date when the driver has managed to get hold of a replay device and can justify the position they acheived with some form of proof 👍 most hot shoes nowadays will be aware of maxdrive and xport and will also know that if you beat the usual suspects like Dan and Hugo without proof you will be open to a small amount of doubt! ... but actions speak louder than words ... get a replay device and silence the doubters, most veteran OLR drivers are not required to post replays! ... but do it anyway out of courtesy
