A serious issue...

Ok, i've been keeping this to myself lately, but i feel it's time i say something out loud.

Apparently, lots of people on GTP have very very little patience for anything that moves. Or anyone that types you're as your. Many people seem to always be morbid.

I remember when i first came around here. I had recently escaped the GTF meltdown, with the invite of Jordan, to come to this site. Everything seemed pretty cool, so i decided to stick around. And i soon made GTPlanet my second home. There was this really cool "buddy" vibe in the air here, and everyone was like a distant cousin to each other.

Then, some grammatically-declined people started joining the boards, looking for some Gran Turismo info and maybe just some cheap thrills. And many people "evolved", so to speak, and decided that those people were inferior and a constant annoyance. At first, it for craps and giggles - but then it started getting a little too real.

And now, in the present period, we have lots of girls and people with relationship problems on the boards. These are the "Version 2.0" of those grammatically-declined people i mentioned earlier. People are no longer friendly.

Unfortunately there are more than three[girls on the forums]...Please don't invite her here if all she's going to do is gripe about guys, and relationships, and other girl stuff. We've already got enough of that.

I say this: Get over it. These people are here to stay and you might as well be a nice person if you want kindess given back to you. Message boards are about the beauty of sharing opinions and getting great information, not a hang out for fidgety old geezers who are angry at, like i said before, anything that moves.

i type fast and make type-o's. i hate when people make a big deal out of it. i usasally ignore them or send them a message like "wHutz yoUr'RR PPProMBLUM?¿"
 
Dude, I agree with you 100% Giancarlo! Some people around here are just plain jerks! If someone has a grammar problem, you can politely correct them insted of saying, "Hey you stupid ****, grammar is the correct way to spell the word, not gramer!" I'm getting pretty tired of it. This board is becoming quite immature again. I think i just might pull a MistaX and leave because of all the stupid, useless, childish behavior. There needs to be a stop put to this.
 
Yes, there does seem to be quite a bit of bickering going on. This is tipical when infants are waiting to be fed. I would say the same to be true for GTP'ers waiting for GT4 to be released. People are board and are looking for something to get excited about, what better way that in entice a heated argument. That's the way I see it anyhow.

I take this piss out of the people that make typos and grammatical mistakes, I'll admit that.

But I'm not judging people, and it quite often backfires on me.

I apologise (It's spelt with an 'S' dammit!) if I've ever hurt anyone on this here GTP.

I just like to take the piss, I know I seem hypocritical, but its just me..

Well Giancarlo, I'm sorry, but I actually think those who ask for help in their problems treat this place as a family. When you have a problem, do you often tell it to a close friend or family member? I do, and I also post it on here, to see what people think. I am, therefore, treating GTP as another home for me. I am not trying to type gramatically incorrect, because as you can see, this post is very different from my other ones. This post, is more or less gramatically correct. However, do not correct me, as my grammar is not perfect.

So can you see my point?
My point = That people with relationship problems that post them on GTP treat the GTP forums as another family, not a person that just posts it for thrills, or having fun. As far as I know, the 'relationship' threads that I have started on the Rumble Strip actually turned out pretty good. I was able to extract alot of knowledge from them.

You don't understand, i wasn't insulting you, i was insulting the nit-pickers. I guess you didn't read through my first post very well.
 
Now a type-o is one thing, but ignorance is unacceptable to me. Sure, some people type in different ways, but recently it's gotten to the point where it's very hard to read and understand what the hell they are talking about. Also, GTP looks worse with people typing like 2nd graders, and it degrades the rest of us grammatically correct people. Is it really hard to type using the english skills we all have? Hell no. I'm typing this with ease. I enjoy intellegent typing, it makes me feel more mature, and I come off more mature to others. Plus, typing skills is something more of us need, and if more of us practice on GTP, then we can go into jobs where correct typing is a must. I understand people making spelling errors, hell I've probably got some in this post. But shortening 3 letter words to 1 letter is just plain idiotic. I mean as I type this I'm not really even looking at the keyboard, I know where the keys are and my hands just go. I peck, correct hand typing does not work for me, so I peck with both hands, using each finger to hit a key. It's not an exact science, but I'm not giving up.

As far as the relationships thing, we really need a relationship problems forum. I too am getting really tired of seeing people with relationship problems when I've never had a single relationship in my life. I've tried, and I've failed. Be happy, you relationship problem toting people, that you atleast have someone or several people there to feel good about. I'm really tired of reading 13 year olds' posts about how they don't know what the hell they are doing and that they depend on other people at GTP to help them through every aspect of going about thier relationship. I would rather put these threads in a separate forum, then I won't have to see them at all. Seeing other people struggling with a girl while I can't even get that far depresses me. Not that it's easy finding a girl with the same interests in cars and a cirtain car company, or plainly anyone that likes me, but that's another story and quite frankly, I don't care. I don't need anyone. GTP and many of the members here are like freinds to me. I don't depend on any of them, and they don't depend on me. It's all good, and if they needed something from me, I wouldn't hesitate(unless it's money. ;) ).

About people being meaner...no they aren't. People are nice to me...maybe that's because I can type intellegently and am intellegent as a person...but I think that most people here are getting really tired of dealing with the reasons posted above.

Overall, we just need to lighten up.

And about more girls coming...as long as they are mature, I don't have any problem. If they come in here like a vollyball girl(no offense) and doing this whole relationship problem deal and being really stupid, then I say no. But other than that, if they want to be here, then by golly, let em.
 
I'll admit that im not the best at spelling, and im not the oldest and smartest GTPer here, though some members know that yet they still bug me about my "spelling techniques" im very sorry about that. :D
 
I find it funny when someone tells someone else off for having bad grammar and then proceeds to spell a word wrong...:lol: ;)

There's no way that's a dodo! the beak is too long.It should look like a flamingos except smaller.....I uh,had to do a report on the dodo, that's how i know.:lol: :lol:
