I'd be happy to contribute, I am already pretty good on sims, but i still have alot of room for improvement (especially on my angles, they arent so hot :-/) I'ma post up my vid again soon (the link in my sig is broken), its a good reference to my skills on sims, as all the drifts done in that vid were on sims with about 380hp

i would like to be in but the video quality is crappy what i can get.....

in my drift now i am moving toward my WRX 22B with sims and about 400-500 HP very nice car....featured in my extreme angle vid clip....

Right.. here is what I want you guys to do... Silviadrifter and battle_stage will propose a car (with settings)... You must decide on which track to drive it... We will be voting on a "hunanumous" (hope I spelled that right:) ) system...

If you have suggestions for cars.. PM me.. I will confer with the technical advisors... and we will take it from there...

As soon as we have the track and car... we can commence the Drifting!!:lol:
 
Notice: It's important for participants to check this thread regularly as to stay up to date with happenings... also to be able to vote when decisions need to be made :)

but nah, i dont have any way to make a video at all, no digital camera, no camcorder, no capture card =[

how bout i'll just add input, and i'll drift at my house alone? i think i'm pretty much good enough on sims already, i just like participating =]

Noted prahjec... seeing that you are comfortable with sims.. i guess it's ok... btw, can you buy a 180sx ate the car dealer.. coz I 'm sure it's not in the Japanese version garage.. I will check again...

This is off topic.. but I really would like to know how one get the avatar to display different pics... everyone I've asked just didn't bother to reply... Must be a stupid question i suppose???
 
The car of Stage1 will be posted soon.. with settings.. thanx to Silviadrifter and battle_stage...

We have to decide on a track.. please check 1st post and decide...

Also, IMO, when posting a vid.. please submit a full lap.. it doesn't have to be a perfect lap.. every track has it's drift corners and we will concentrate on them...

Another suggestion (at the top of my head) is to have a second track aswell, for those who mastered the initial one... ??

What do you think?
 
Sounds good. I think we should have 1 track at first, and goi from there. We shouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves IMHO. BTW, Battle, check your pm's.;)
 
I've begun drifting with the 280sx on trial mountain... just waiting for the right settings from the tech. advisors...:)

The way things are going.. I might post a vid.. maybe to give participants an idea... and also motivation for me to improve on my new sim-skillz :)

Man, i will have all my vids up once I convince my bro to let me bring the cam down here. Anyone know if Windows Movie Maker lets you record wit web cams?
 
I'm sure most movie making s/ware supports webcams - besides, webcams it's like an extension of your pc!:) What movie making s/ware are you using?

Windows Movie Maker.... But i have to convince my bro to let me use it! If it doesn't, I'll go cry in my dark corner. :D

Check the 1st post.. I've posted my own settings for now... and I'm going to begin drifting... will place a vid in about an hour's time... I think!!:)
 
The new settings are here (check1st post)... I have uploaded a vid I made with my settings.. will be good to use as a comparison between the performance of the car when different settings are used... also, this is just a basic idea of what is to be expected (no pressure:lol: ) I'm sure you guys can do much better than this, so don't waste any time and start drifting!!:)

My impression of the RPS13 is that the car is frustrating.
I really need more power. The setting is good but I miss more power and tranny mods.

As Catch-my-drift? said, there's no need to do a perfect lap. So I only did 13 laps. At 7th lap I could drive where I wanted to. Then I was doing good drifts but I spinned in some laps. And at the lap 13 I did what the vid shows.

I agree... definately need more power... but let's chill for a while.. I'm sure the next stage will be better... there's a reason for the low hp... to get to understand the car better (according to advisors).. and I'm sure I'm getting what they are saying... just hang in there and we will see how it goes with the next stage...
