Did mine with the Honda HSV Base model and on the first lap was skeptical of a win, Second lap and on however it was no question. Fun event hope to see more like these.

Tried with the following cars, best came out no better than 3rd place:

RX7 Touring Car
R34 GTR Touring Car
Lexus IS GT300 Base model
FTO Super Touring Car

And then I switched to TS030, completely smashed the competition. lol
 
RX7 LM with a lvl 1 turbo upgrade did the job after 10 runs and some tuning. It won 2 McLarens F1 and a Ford GT LM in that race doing a 7m10s. Great event imo. Laguna Seca is an epic course and wide enough for racing.
 
I first won it with the Keihin HSV-010 '12 using the Motor City tune. I then tried it with a McLaren F1 using the Praiano tune (power limited to 600PP) and the weirdest thing happened. I was just over 4 seconds behind after 4 laps and gaining at just about 5 seconds per lap so I was pretty sure that I could win. When I got to the first corner I discovered that the lead F1 had spun out so I ended up winning by 7 seconds.
 
YES!! My favorite track! It really sucks its not just for GT3 cars, i was REALLY looking forward to that on this track, I am happy they chose Laguna Seca for an event though! Keep 'em coming!
 
Ran with the Audi R8 Ultra tonight see if I could do it, couple of tries to get the pace down.

596pp stock power/weight with a tuned suspension and lsd

Went back and ran again. This time, instead of an F1, ford gt and Citroen it was 2 F1's.
Ran all 1:20 but the first lap.
Leading F1 over cooked the last turn on lap 4. He came in 3rd. Made the win easy that time. Weird that I ran faster last one and barley won!!

The TS030 is too good for 600pp, I just bought and tried the car after seeing how many people were winning with the damn thing and it way exceeded expectations.
 
Finally beat the GTR LongTail with the Greaves Zytek with tune by @shaunm80 as well as with my F1 GTR 95. Both were great fun.
 
Another great A-spec challenge in which my favorite Mazda Furai '08 does the rabbit munching fun business like no other, I love this car around Laguna Seca. :D

And for those who want some of that fun too, here is my 'Laguna Seca' tune.....

Finally did it without using TS030 or Zytek, and I had to pick an easy field to gey it done, I had lots of troubles against rabbits including Ford GT Test Car, R35 Touring Car and Mclaren F1 GTR. Those cars are extremely fast.

I have used the Honda HSV-010 15th Anniversary '12, no tuning at all and I still have won. I overtook the car leader on the first corner.
 
What is the fast lineup? Want to make sure that I ran the fast lineup when I posted my video.

Mclaren F1 GTR LT at P1, regularly runs 7:06 after 5 laps, very very fast.
 
Based on Gold Time Trial times a 600 PP super GT time is 1:23 and the 710 PP Mazda LM55 Time was 1:16.0. Since you need to run 1:20 or 1:19 lap times this is more of a 650PP event. Being handicapped to 600PP is a bit tough for most, but at least there is the 2J.

The Continental Tire Monterey GP pole times were in the 1:19s in May for the P2 class.

You are 100% correct, if this is truly a GT3 event, they should make it 630pp at the very least. At 600pp, only a handful of cars could win it for average people.

Thank you as I had both McLarens in the race video that I posted. Will have to look for another car to beat the two McLarens. I ran a 7:05

Done with a bunch of cars i hadnt driven in a while.

One of them just entered my list of sure win, overkill cars on these 'expert' seasonals. 6:56 with the Alpine VGT racer.

My best finish so far is a 2nd at 6:50. Will try some more this next weekend.
 
I've won with 2 different fields with a built up GT300 R E Amemiya Base Model with a DS3 in AT so far.

Yeah that's the "Pity ****" PD seems to feed into the mix after a few days to let more winners. Meanwhile the hot shoes get the glory wins with the fastest rabbits on Day 1.

7:22 and 7:31 rabbits are lame compared to the BMW McLaren.

You are correct they turned down the volume on the McLarens as I just won with a McLaren F1 against the McLaren F1 starting in P1 running fast laps of 1:20 to 1:21.
