No problems here winning with the Jaguar XJ13. The AI Toyota 7 driver went off course in turn 1 (:dunce:) of the last lap which gave me a bigger margin of victory than in previous wins with the XJ13. Nice to know the AI rabbits will occasionally mess up and give us a better chance of winning. 👍

with cobra daytona 15th, i got the 1st in the start of last lap. I'm happy because i don't spent my cash in another car hehehe

1.04.296 was my best lap, I believe. 2J wrecked and left me full attack on the 7. Ran away the last two laps.

In the first race, I tried without low turbo and slight power limiter, caught a Giulia while lapping him and took second...may revert back and see if I can still get the win.

Fun race. I love driving this car!
 
I wonder if using weaker cars will allow you to get rid of the Toyota 7 and 2D in the grid.

The Daytona Coupe works in this case. Maybe we should switch to that.

I can only achieve 3rd with the Ferrari 330 P4 & detuned Toyota 7, and 2nd with the Christmas Seasonal Jag XJ113 gift car.

I could use the 15th anniv Daytona Coupe hmm.
 
Hmm.. For the second consecutive 'expert level race' (after a couple of shakey starts) I'm challenging for the lead for the first time then, the very millisecond I overtake the leader, the cooling fan in my PS3 goes BALLISTIC!! Exactly the same thing happened in the Red Bull Ring event. At exactly the same moment!

Weird. With a capital WE!

No matter what car you use (weaker or not) is gonna exclude those 2 cars from the race (from my experience)

I either had to deal with the 2J, toyota 7 or both on the grid, chose a grid with only the toyota 7...took 2 tries, but the entire time I was running like mad! The back markers help slow down the leaders a little unless they pass them on the straight away.
 
Nice to see a few premiums beating the field. No interiors in the 2J and Toyota 7 are deal breakers for me.
 
what a seasonal this is. absolutely loved this one. First tried out my Ford GT40 VI '67 and failed only managed 6th. So tried my 2J First time i only managed 3rd by 1.2 seconds off the leader. restarted race. pushed abit harder with out being to aggressive, got passed the Toyota 7 on lap 4 with a nice lap of 1.03.7xx and got the Win.

What a sweet race. Just so happened to be using my 2-J for the prior seasonal when this one came in. Outstanding stuff. For those who haven't done it yet, the Toyota 7 is of course the rabbit, but he peters out around lap 4, so lesser cars have a chance.

I dont get it.

I noticed them doing this on the recent expert seasonal at red bull ring. I think its the entrance to turn 3 with the long straight downhill braking section and the big sand pit straight ahead that the vettes would run off into periodically.

Add 200kg of ballast and limit power to ~58% and should be close to the target 600pp.

On a side note, finally won it with the Toyota 7 and a very basic tune running in the 67 sec lap range with a best of 65.7 seconds. I think I might work a tune for this thing to see if I can get rid of the oversteer and nervousness over bumps. It's definitely got potential.

Goddammit. Been trying to get gold for over an hour now, the Toyota always annihilates me on the straight away. Closes I got was 1.8 seconds behind. 20 second head start, plus 100+ PP advantage and rubberbanding... I really wish PD would come up with a better way to increase difficultly rather than throw more BS at you.
 
I got the 2J only in the first try. Finished 12 secs ahead of him :p
 
I used my 2J with power reduced to hit 600PP, with no other set-up changes, and beat the Toyota 7 by 11s+. It was enjoyable and I will try with lesser cars too. I was running 1'02.5 - 1'03.2 and found it really quite easy.
 
Got it with the mark IV race car then decided to just buy that weird looking auto union from audi and surprisingly I beat the 2J with it. He did crash though he he but i was only 4 seconds behind him at the beginning of lap 5.

I havent tried the 2D yet, but I was lapping the 2 Alfas and the Challenger TC in my races so far in the Toyota 7.
 
Yeah, that seems to be a new thing in these new Seasonings. Added difficulty in a way. I like.
 
Great fun, I needed four tries before I nailed it well enough to have a win. I was in the bumper of the Toyota 7 in the start of lap 5, but he suddenly became much faster. Took him at the middle of lap 6, got a lead of two seconds, a lead he reduced to nothing within the last 10 seconds and I needed to move over to his driving line not to be overtaken.

Finally won using the 2D and with the Audi as rabbit. Now I'm gonna try it with that car.

Smooth and steady wins the race.
 
Just when I thought I had a chance to pass S. Nardi in the Giulia TZ2, along comes H. Mizuno in the Toyota 7 who puts me in the wall! :mad: If that wasn't bad enough, then J. Frances in the 2J hit me too... All but ruining my chances of overtaking S. Nardi in the Giulia TZ2! :mad:

That reminds me. (from GT2)
Unethical as it is... The double apex corner into the first tunnel, is a great place to put the Toyota7 in the wall.
Sometimes it goes backwards. Causes havoc for the rest. :)
