When you are fitted in a racing car and you race to win, second or third place is not enough.

I tried it with my 908 HDi FAP and finished 9th, 41 seconds behind. I'm gonna wait to try again until some of the tuners but up some tunes for this one. I surely though my 908 would have been more competitive

Constantly 2nd with my Speed 8.

Have tried numerous times, even using SRF and ABS but still cannot win.

Try the 2J if you have it. It is way faster than the competition on the straights. I won first try.

I won with the Toyota Minolta 88C-V '89. I use a controller and the settings i used were No traction control, ABS 1, Skid Recovery Force On and Controller Sensitivity set at 0. Got to 1st place on the final lap right before the final turns before the finish line. It goes up to 951 HP after oil change.

I wanted to be a little different. Instead of using a LMP car, I tried using my Monster SX4. I finished 3rd, only six seconds away from the first place Toyota 88C-V. If there was one more lap to the race, I would've won it for sure.

Oh well, looks like it's the 2J for me then.

Used the Pescarolo hybrid,
Turbo3 upgrade
Added 90kg weight at -50
reduced pp to 700 and got over 1000 horsepower.
Changed topspeed gearbox to 430KMH, not enough yet
Downforce at max.
Abs at 3 ( or else i come in a slide too fast with over 370KMH and hitting the brakes late to gain seconds)

4 sec behind the leader, at the end i get a little off track, 5 sec penalty.
Total of 9 sec behind leader and got second.
Changing some settings on the pescarolo hybrid, try once more.
Change topspeed maybe less maybe more
change added weight
Change downforce
i hate the spinning tires when it changes gear.Did not happen in GT5, damn realism
Hybrid, lots of torque ;)

I have the 2J
If no gold, i try the 2J

I'm not a pro, but this track is really a challenge.
Do not believe the opponents list. Gillet Vertigo, Yeah right.
Minolta racecar, Pescarolo's, Sauber. Those are what i get the whole time.
if it was a Gillet or a Nissan Deltawing? This was easy peasy.
leader gets a headstart for about 30-36 seconds.
You got 2 laps
Ai makes big braking mistakes at Mulsanne corner
You can only hope that the leader once makes that mistake.

True challenge for me, this is a hard one.

Tried it with the 2J. Thought I was gonna make it and I was really freaking close, but lost within a second.

Welp, time to check out the other races and come back to this one.

Finally managed it with the Speed 8 after many attempts.

After that I tried with the 2J and again after a few attempts I did it - the car was a pain at high speed.

Not sure if I'm going to grind this one because it's too much stress for the reward.

I did not try the Pescarolo again, i went for the 2J
I won the race, and as extra the leader made a mistake just in front of me, lucky me.
This car is great, You can really gain time with late braking, really late braking.
Okay, i got abs on 4.
do not get any penalty, i got one
but got lucky, the leader made a mistake at "Arnage" corner.

My settings, if you're not a pro.
I use a DS3, no analog sticks, so if you're good, you must get gold.

My braking mistake, at the last two chicanes, and as extra got a penalty, so lost 6 seconds.

And here my luck returns, leader shoots out at Arnage.

ps, i use the race line, like i wrote, if you good, you make it.
i am not a pro, so i used the race line.

Just ran this with Audi R8 '01 & @praiano63's 700PP tune.

Walk in the park even on RHs, no corner cutting, all clean passes. :)
900º Wheel/no wheel or driving assists/0 ABS/RH, I do have the RPLs. :D

Like the Spa event, its in the math, if you turn close to 3:23s you can do it.
Lower than 3:23s will give you more time to deal with the AI. ;)
UPDATE: There does seem to be a curve ball AI grid ^ doesn't apply to.

Draft draft draft is your best friend on this one. :dopey:
Should be easier with RS.

-------------------------------------------
Most of @praiano63's 650PP/700PP LMP tunes should do the trick.
See the OP for tune links. :)

Pescarolo has better front end grip.
Minolta is stupid fast on Mulsanne.
Chaparral is legal cheating.

Nice little credit dispenser for Le Mans practice, thanks PD!

hhhmm..sounds good...choices choices...will try it tonight...i'd prefer using a car standard no tuning...

Constantly 2nd with my Speed 8.

Have tried numerous times, even using SRF and ABS but still cannot win.

I also used the Speed 8. My first attempt was a little conservative and I came second by six seconds or so. I also had full downforce (which I don't normally do).

After retrying with normal downforce and SRF, I won with the lead car crashing late in the second lap. I then hit "retry" without SRF and won in similar circumstances.

Now I'm curious as to how often the lead car (in this case the C60 Hybride) crashes out and whether that results in an easier win or if the AI's second position car takes over as the rabbit.

I had the P1 Hybride crash out once at end of Mulsanne on L2 when in P3...
...after that the P2 Minolta slowed down. So it was an easy pass.

Otherwise, sometimes it can take until around Indy to catch them on L2.

The Minolta has always been the rabbit for me - usually when he hits the sand from not braking I can catch the Pescarolo. But there was one time when I got pitted by the Hybride on the second to last corner of the last lap - that was annoying.

If anyone had a hard time for this ridiculous event, refresh until there is no Minolta, R8 '01, Pescarolo Hybride, or Sauber C9 on the lead. Preferably R92CP or Toyota 7 for the lead if lucky.

The ram penalty are bullcrap beyond belief especially on ford chicane where just a single tap by AI on the side can trigger one.

Not worth grinding for, and the event is purely stressful. The only Seasonal I got Silver, ever.

Of course rabbits are hard to catch in Le Mans!

Grid starts for the next batch of A-Spec Seasonals, please!

Barely won with a Speed 8. ABS 1 and everything else off. Should have used TCS 1 to make it a bit less stressful for myself.
