But A-Spec is just no Fun without Mechanical Damage ?
i mean unless you just suck at driving Or are driving a car thats 100 times slower then the competition .. you can crash upto 100 times over and still win the Race ??
Where is the Fun or challenge in that ??
Mechanical Damage would bring life and a challenge to A-Spec -_-

+1

Mechanical damage would make endurance racing much more interesting. Can you survive 24 hours without damaging the car? 💡

Totally agree with all of the above, PD are you listening!!!

👍

I reckon that they should give extra bonuses for people who complete a race with damage set to ON.

You will still get XP and credits if you turn it OFF, but less.

I can. The actual problem is surviving 24 hours without the AI wrecking my car! As long as the AI drives like it does *to be continued*

Imagine the situation: you're doing 220 mph down the Hunaudieres at night, approaching the first chicane. It's raining and you vaguely see the spray of an opponent in the distance perhaps three or four seconds away. You begin braking at the spot you usually brake at and you've barely shifted down to the fourth gear when you realize there's nothing to be done as the same opponent is crawling in front of you, doing 50 mph at best, and you have no time to avoid crashing into him.

*continued* there's absolutely no point in having mechanical damage in A-Spec.

My car looked quite sad after that race. :ouch:

I have to agree there. AI refinement first, then. :p:tup:

 I had a stealth 787B by the time I finished the Indy 500.

The AI needs a lot of fixing before I would even consider mechanical damage turned on.

The damage could be repairable at the pits and the time needed for repair could depend on the amount of damage taken. It doesn't have to take realistic amounts of time though. It would add a bigger randomization into endurance races, making it less of a time trial and more of a race.
