Just to add to that, you won't actually know the points value for each race until you're actually in it, which is an absolute pain in the neck because I'm sick of going into races and finding they're only worth 20-30 points (I prefer 90-125), but you can't exit because it'll stuff up your win ratio ... maybe PD could tell you what the actual (or at least a general idea) value of each race for your car is before you actually enter (read: on the race enrty screen when you choose your track) for GT5 ...FamineDepends on the car.
Could be 10 points. Could be 100 points. Each car has a different - and not yet clearly understood - "Coefficient of A-spec".
Hmmm....very interesting. Maybe when YOU LEARN that second place is the FIRST LOSER, then maybe, only maybe, we'll talk.chinkoand why complain about your win ratio? i have 78ish % ratio and i couldnt give a ****. its how you LEARN.![]()

Hiya hucker696: 👍 Long time NO See! Just to add to the general confusion regarding A-Spec Points...The Formula GT "AI" Racers feature the exact same specs as "Your" ride and all races are worth 60 A-Spec points.hucker696I was wondering what are the a spec point if yuor car is on par with the others?
hucker696Well I know 200 is the high end 1 is the low end,but if you have the same car with the same hp weight tires everything identical whats the a spec points?100 maybe where's the middle?

BerrernThe points system is very buggy, and more difficulty doesn't always mean more A-spec points.
I've started the whole game from scratch again to hunt A-spec points. In the Beginners league, I had two weird experiences so far:
- When changing from Sports Medium to Normal Economy, I got about 40 A-Spec points less (needless to say, I kept the Sports)
- When I fitted NOS in my Nissan Skyline, I got about 30 more A-Spec points for the race, iirc this was in the 4WD challenge.
You'll discover a lot of anomalies with the A-spec system if you start messing around with the car settings before the races.
chinkoive had a very hard 10 point race, and a stupidly easy 200 point race. wasnt it found out that the points went on power to weight ratios?
VertyI was wondering something about a-spec points and I couldn't find anything anywhere about that (I admit I didn't look extra-deeply through the 20 pages of search results given by "a-spec" entry)...
Anyway, I was doing a bunch of races where I'd get about 170 a-spec points after a couple of trials. Now, that serie has a championship serie too. When you do the championship, do they give you the a-spec points again even if you did them already through the single race? Or since you did them before as single races, you don't get any more points unless they offer you 175 instead of 170, for example?
I'd like to know because I won't bother busting my ass trying to gain more points that I can't get because they've already been "maxed out" during single races events...
Thanks in advance!

wheelowThe points system is weird.
I did a Family Cup race last night on Midfield normal, with my Dodge Ram, it was fully modified, and I was using sport soft tires, and I kept the slider that determines how fast my competition is at 0, just to see how they'd stack up, and I was against vehicles such as the Nissan Cube X and a couple other things like that, that were NO where near my HP levels. And the race was a 200 point race. I destroyed them, needless to say. So if you want quick and easy A-spec points, buy a dodge ram, mod the hell out of it, and go to midfield for a family cup race.
spriteI dont know if this has been mentioned in the forum before but yesterday iwas doing the second Tahiti Maze Rally race on hard, and the points at the begining said 180pts but whne finished it said i was awarded 100pts a whole 80pts missing, anyone know of this bug?
slotcarrodThe max points you get for one race is 200. If you race and you get 200 points that is all you will get. If you do the same race over again for 200 points, you will get nothing added to your total points.
If you do another race for 190 points and then do it again for 200 points, your total points gain for both races will be 200. You can get no more points for this race again.
I hope this helps you.
nope, i was in the Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac Rally Car bog standard, and it didnt change anything or quit, just did the race and then when done it had knocked off 80 pointsNope. Sure you didn't quit and race against a different car? Did you change anything about your car?
VertyActually, what I meant is some categories have race series PLUS a championship where you just do the same single races again but as a championship. My question was if I got like 200 points during the single race event and I do the race again in the associated championship, do I get another 200 points for a win or was it already maxed out by the previous single race event?
Verty
route_66You won't get the points again. Whether you got 200 in a Single Race or in the Championship, you only get it once.
