Are you getting ready to post a degrading, harsh, or downright stupid comment?
Think before you speak! GTPlanet is only as good as you make it.

Does anyone else get this message before they post?

To answer your question, yes. In an attempt to educate the community on and to remind them of proper GTP edicate, Jordan added that message for everyone to see.

That's odd, I get this:

[size=-2]A special note to rufrgt_sn00pie2001:

You're not the brightest either. At least with that post.

Taking advanced classes does not make you smart at all. I'm sure there are plenty of drop-outs that are smarter than AP students. Working hard to get good grades isn't a true showing of intelligence. It just shows that you're motivated. Hell, anyone who tries can ace every class, unless you have some kind of mental disorder.

Big words are always good for cheap laughs, aint they? :D

Zero and Wazzuup: Let's not have this thread turn into a penis war, mmmkay?

Klos: That was beautiful. *sniff*

Klos, buddy, I'm lazy as hell ok, I dont study, I dont do homework, I'm not even motivated at all, I like playing video games thats what I do best, I dont ace any class other than word processing, fun class that was, typing up letter heads all day, easy as pie. I dont work hard for ****, I just go to school and listen, never take notes, photographic memory, I was blessed with that by my father, the only good thing he ever gave me.

Heh, I'm the same way. I just figured most people in advanced classes were motivated. I thought I was an anomaly. I know I could easily ace all my classes if I worked harder.

I dont see the point in studying, to me the thing is: If you dont learn the material the first time the teacher talks about it you should be shot.

Exactly, I dont care about my grades at all its my dad that cares and I could care less about him.

Experience is the only teacher, and if you can get any experience in class than great! Grades are also helpful in the real world to show that you can be taught, which prospecting employers like in a prospective employee.

And yes, a "who's smarter than who" discussion is rather trivial, although it might be entertaining if we could throw rottin fruit at you guys while you try to answer compounded computations in your head.

Be nice and play fair, and for the sake of sanity please adhear to the rules of this forum and the AUP found at these links:

Fact is, though, grades will be "what counts" to future bosses and what not, so it certainly helps to get those good grades... Looking smart makes sailing through life a lot easier. :) (Usually...)

Really? So, in other words, those times that I actually spend studying for a test were futile? Am I supposed to be some magic sponge that takes in information, yet doesn't let it leak out? Is that it?

Honestly...

And, what about if you have a lousy teacher? Are you supposed to somehow know what (s)he's trying to teach and be able to recite what you were supposed to learn?

I love logic.

I never said that, your putting words in my mouth. For me studying is futile, well atleast until freshman year and Calc(Pako knows what i'm talking about). Your twisting my words around, photographic memories are useless unless you pay attention to whats going on around you(Pako knows what I'm talking about too).

I do see your point about if the teacher is lousy, I was personally speaking on behalf of my teachers and what I go through, it was not a universal statement that I made, althought I guess it came out that way, for which I am sorry.
