well nearly.....

another Top Gear inspiration where they used the Suzuki Liana on their own test track, and gave it to the stars of yesterday and today......

well, we have no Liana in GT4, but the nearest thing [in power/weight terms anyway] would be the Citroen Xsara VTR....

and the track, Tsukuba Circuit.......

***GT Mode***

no modifications allowed [no oil change either], apart from you must use N2 tyres.....

game on.... 👍

I'll be back.

Top gear test track on GT5? With the Stig instead of B-spec Bob. :)

Are we allowed an oil change?

nice time George.....

i don't 'hate' it, but i sure don't love it, lol.... although it makes a change to driving the quicker/better handling cars...... have you noticed the ride height during the replay? haha!!

Sorry SuperT, no oil change......unless you actually drive the car far enough to bring the oil light on, lol!!

edit - new time from me too :P

i had splits for another -0.3 seconds, but it all went wrong at the hairpin before the long straight :grumpy: :dunce:

OK, I'll be back some time tomorrow with a laptime. :D

nice, i don't think i'll be able to match that, but i'll have a go.....

need more people to try tho....

Sounds cool, I remember buying this car and taking it around Sarthe on my last game (before it was corrupted). I'll be back, probably later today with a time for ya.:)

Well i thought i might aswell do 5 practice laps then a proper lap. I managed a 1.19.085 i dont think the ds2 it very well fitted for 109hp, very hard to stay smooth.

east - nice time.....

randy - my time was with the ds2..... a few more laps and you'll be well into the 1'18's ;)

Been running a Tsukuba combo at GTRP and decided to try this out ... stock car with no settings changes whatsoever 108hp and N2 tyres and can only muster a 1'18.833 after 10 laps?

Tell me you guys have turned the assists off to hit those 1'17's ? and am I allowed to turn the assists off as they really hold it back on every bend :p

deffinatley get rid of the acs and the tcs...... they don't help you at all!!!! 👍

Ok cheers 👍

another few laps and 1'17.132

1'16's are fair game now with some more laps :)

Ron do you know what that car in the GTRP race is called in the NTSC version?

Will look now Ben ... back in 5 mins ;)

edit: Ok mate ... I just loaded the NTSC game and there is no such car as the Toyota MR-S V Edition ? there is however a Toyota MR2 Spyder ( 6 speed ) 02 that when set at +20 and -10 is exactly the same horsepower and weight that the PAL car has 169hp and 882 weight 👍 I would say its the same car with a jazzier name is all ;)

i've done about 12laps this evening.....

could only get within half a second of my previous best :wall:

Hope you Fellas don´t mind me dropping in like this:tup:
Thought I would give this spotty just one go.
This is what my DS2 could muster:

18.111 // 40.730 // 1:16.990

Replay on request.
Cheers.

what am i doing wrong?????!!!!! lol

i tried again today, and still couldn't match my previous best!!!!

i think i must be trying too hard, lol....

i'd love to see a few replays to see where i'm going wrong, unfortunatly i don't have the max-drive or whatever it is you need to transfer replays from ps2 to pc to ps2.....

Forgot introducing myself.
Name is Hekke a.k.a. "hsh".
I´ve been Gt-driving on and of for a couple of years now over at Talk-Torc, GTRP, HGT etc.
Some familiar faces here whom i´ve been racing against in the past.

@Dave^, not sure whether Ron could turn a X-port-replay into an avi-file or mpeg...?
If my memory serves me correctly I´m pretty sure he´s done just that before.👍

@George, haven´t you posted a much faster time earlier or am I missing something?

Welcome to GTP....

maybe he can, i dunno....

yeah he has, he's in the same boat as me, can't beat his previous best time....

and ill be back! and are these flying laps or standing starts? if standing starts, where on the grid do you start?

Nice little challenge, Dave. 👍

1'17.774 (18.304/41.237)

I'll have to come back to this later. Need to cut off another tenth I can see. :D

Welcome to the Planet, hsh. :)
Not many Danes in the GT community, so it's always nice to see another one around. :dopey:

Bloody Hell!!! .... Its a ghost

:p

Long time no see Hekke 👍 Good to see you back on the circuit again mate ;)

For the record guys! .. Hekke was one of the best ralliers in GT3 days without a doubt ... some great old battles are implanted in my mind 👍

Great to see you back buddy and obviously no loss of speed on tar either in your rest time :p ... I will run some more on this tonight and try to close the gap
