This getting to be a battle of the old fossils..... :D

Had another go:

1'17.555 (18.220/41.030)
 
Had another few laps and improved fairly quick which is a nice change for me :p

18.036 / 40.741 - 1'16.970

seen 17.9 and 40.6 so still another .1 or 2 up for grabs for me

The Aliens would 1'16.5 no doubt :rolleyes: .... damn aliens ;)

I decided to scrap the GTRP and race this one. I was stuck at 1'17.0 for what seemed like forever, then I hit this lap:

17.907 :eek:
40.703
1'16.929

T1 was by far the fastest I've seen, most are between 17.95x and 18.05x. Promptly botched the corner after though so I lost a good .1-.2 there.

ok, heres my time on lap 16/23

1'18.831

i know im faster than that, but i just woke up, so ill try again later.....my problem has been keeping a clean and tight line on the last turn, other than that, i seem to have the "followthrough" complex down (thats the bit after the second hairpin)......if you get it right, you dont have to lift :D

I'm in a blue one. Is the yellow one faster?
 
Hmmm??? why do my tyres show as COM and not N2's like Hekke as we both PAL? I just bought another car and fitted with N2's again and they also show up as COM (Standard/Comfort)

edit: also my replay shows as Free Run and not Time Trial mode?

was your run done in an arcade car Hekke? .... To my knowledge Arcade mode cars dont lose hp like in GTmode hence why I have bought 3 of these up to now and looking at number 4 in gold :p I only run them to 40km driven then scrap it ;)

Yes, it's supposed to be in GT Mode :ouch:

Tough luck, but hopefully you'll try the GT Mode car :)

Edit: Stragely in Arcade Mode N2 tires show up as COM for me :confused:
 
Np Hekke its an easy mistake to make 👍 ... and anyway I reckon you will be faster in GTmode as I was only hitting 1'17'0 after 10 laps in Arcade mode when I tested it through curiosity, GTmode has an extra .1 or .2 of a sec :p

Sorry to have highlighted it anyway man ... I know you a straight down the middle guy! just needed to get us in the same car is all ;)

I found the Arcade car to be faster to more consistently fast to T2 but I couldn't match my last sector in the GT mode car. All in all Gt Mode is a little faster or about the same.
 
erk!

sorry for not stating ***GT Mode Only*** in the 1st post.....

i just thought it was common knowledge of these trials....

i hope this doesn't discourage anyone to keep trying ;)

let me know if you've submitted an 'arcade' time, and i'll add a note until you submit a GT Mode time...

once again, i appoligise, if it makes you feel any better, i was in a rush to go out earlier, and switched off the ps2 before the save was complete, resulting in a nice 'corrupt data' message :x dammit!!!!
