I don't like the newer Eleanor simply because it was a replica and they used more than one most likely. The original movie used 2 cars. One for the stunts and one for the beauty shots.

'58 Plymouth Fury.

To me, that is the most iconic car I have ever seen in a movie. I wish I had the DVD... :(

In fact I thank you for making this topic, because it reminded me of her. I'll probably buy it the next chance I get.

I had it on DVD, but unfortunately had to sell it when I was unemployed. I'll get it back, some day.

Well, I know that the newer movie uses a GT500.
I'm not sure about the original movie though...
Which one are you referring to?

How about that poor gal in that Beatles song? You know, the girl that goes by Eleanor Rigby.

I don't know why I always thought Eleanor was a '74. In hindsight that makes no sense, because Eleanor wasn't a Pinto.

There is also the Eleonora Falcon. Named after Eleanor of Arborea.
So i voted chick, as it applies to the bird and woman.

The English pronounce their H's. As in Herbs.
So you would know if it really was Helena.

I am English, but being from London I drop a lot of the Ts and Hs outside of work. I guess my hearing isn't so good though.
I'm going to listen to it now because I honestly didn't realise it was not Helena.

A 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1. The original Eleanor.

IMO, the coolest of the two, for more reasons that one.

Ah, but which one? ;) If you've only seen the re-make, you'll likely make the wrong vote.

How would it be "the wrong vote"? Both cars in both films are called "Eleanor".

That'd be like making a poll saying "Who is Batman?" and putting the answers down as "Christian Bale", "George Clooney", "Val Kilmer" and "Michael Keaton" - and claiming any vote not for Adam West is "the wrong vote".

It's like they were making the remake and the producers went, "Okay, we need a '73 Mach 1 Mustang." And Nick Cage went, "Well, I don't have one of those, but I do have a crappy replica of a 1967 Shelby GT500." And the producers were happy with that.

And then Chip Foose stood up and said "I can make it look nothing like a '67 Shelby GT500, with horrible wheels and custom bodykit!". The producers loved it, and from then on, every wanna-be car enthusiest would answer with "a 67 Shelby GT500" when asked what their dream car is, even though they couldn't pick a real one out from a line up of Honda Civics.

Then why have both on the same poll? When asked to choose between the two, it's always the original for me, no questions asked.
