About Visual/Mechanical Damage

I have noticed visual damage only in my two Gr.4 cars (GT-R and SLS AMG), and I haven't seen body deformation, only a new paint texture for the entire body. It doesn't matter which part of the car you have crashed, that texture applies to the whole body. And I haven't found mechanical damage, at all.
Are there other cars featuring any kind of damage in the beta? Do you think damage will be more detailed in the final game?
