Ace Combat 6 (possible X360 exclusivity + huge online gameplay support = ADV X360!)

On this week's Gamespot On the Spot, Namco stops by and shows off what a briefcase full of money from Microsoft can do. The demo will be available next week during E3 on Xbox Live. Some things I noticed in the demo: The first mission does consist of shooting down bombers, your AWACS is call sign: Ghost Eye, and there is another gigantic mothership type aircraft. Way to go Namco for mixin' it up a bit! 👎 The interview didn't touch on online play very much, the Namco representative either didn't know or didn't have anything to say about it.
 
News from E3 is that Namco will be releasing a demo for AC:6 on XBL sometime today!

As for the final release, rumor is that they are cutting back a lot of the multi-player support that was originally planned for.

It was released this morning, I haven't had a chance to play it though (installing carpet). :)
 
OMFG I only got to try it out for a minute or so but god damn does it look awesome. Flys a little slower than the PS2 versions but the triggers for the throttles works well, no more practicly breaking the controller to get afterburners.
 
Wow I remember playing AC4 what happened to 5? I guess I completely missed that game and I LOVED AC4... definetly going to get this. Although it's going to take awhile to get used to the console controls after flying jets in BF2 with a mouse and keyboard.

oh god get 5 5 is awesomer than 4 and I loved 4. AC0 wasnt all that though. Both on ps2 get themmm, well just 5 I guess.

you should be able to pick up 5 for cheap.

05 or 04 I think, they still look fantastic I even replayed 4 a while back and that still looks pretty decent. You also missed Ace combat zero which was like a prequel to 5 that came out a lil while after but its not all that.

Also there was a psp one that I never played because i dont have psppspspspsspss
 
Hmm I guess for some retarded reason I decided to think AC4 was never going to have a predecessor... Oh well now i'll have two brand new Ace Combat's to enjoy. :D
 
just downloaded the demo, if u like ace combat, u will still be a fan of teh series. its great
 
I have to say. My favorite thing so far (apart from the whole game) is flying at low level over the water and checkin out the huge rooster tail my plane makes.
 
Damn! I'm on vacation right now away from my 360 and a bunch of my other systems... oh well will have to wait.
 
I'm not really into games with aircraft but I'm going to have to download the demo as this looks brilliant.
 
Everything was great about it except that I'm not motivated to fly. I guess this isn't my kind of game even though I'd really like it to be.
 
Oh god I must get this game WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO GRACEMERIA? WILL WE TAKE IT BACK FROM THE ESTOVAIKANS? I MUST KNOW?

Only annoying thing that the map buttons not pressure sensitive like the ps2 version so I kept forgetting to change the view size and obscuring that bit of the screen. Oh man though its awesome man oh man, finally i've actually got some new games that I can look forward to.
 
AC5 is definately worth picking up. 👍
I loved the game and the same goes for AC4.
In fact, I loved both of those games so much that if this series ends up being a 360 exclusive for the entire console generation then I may get a 360 on this alone (once I am garunteed a system that will not malfunction).

In any case, I am definately envious of all of you who have the chance to play this game. 👍
 
I played this demo last night for at least an hour. I am not usually into flying games but this one is excellent. The photorealistic graphics are very impressive. I might have to rent this one for sure. Everyone should definetly check it out. 👍
 
I played it a few days ago and it was great. I can't wait to play the full version.

I also find it amusing GTA games and AC games generally come out in October, like a week before my b-day. Although that isn't the case this year with GTA4...
At least I'm getting AC6 though :p
 
Easily one of my biggest releases of the year, I'm just hoping it's region free since I want to import from America.
