Warm-up is on now...

Maro Engel is back in the #80 after a rebuild until 2am.

I think this is the final grid info here - 161 cars will start the race at 3pm local time (2pm UK time)


If I'm reading it correctly, then the #632 Porsche 911 of Broadbent/Charoudin/Brown/Metzger starts in P50, and the #520 Toyota Supra of Miyazono starts in P154.

edit: #632 (Broadbent et al.) are in 50th, which is P1 in Starting Group 2 - in other words, the fastest non-GT3 spec car on the grid :cheers:

Yes, indeed! There's so many top quality teams, it is going to be a great race!

I just hope that the weather plays ball this year!

Can’t wait. Gotta thank Max for all the buzz he created. The event is sold out for the first time ever.
I will be rooting for him and the 2 Gran Turismo family cars.

Same, however I‘m pretty sure it won‘t stay as nice and sunny as it did last year. The weather in Germany has been quite mixed the last couple of days therefore I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw quite a bit of rain during the race later.

Yeh, it already looks like a mixed bag - and the fog that was starting to appear during night quali on Thursday was a bit ominous. Hopefully there will not be anything like 2024 again, but I expect some pretty challenging conditions!

I got my IKEA armchair set up in my games room, as unfortunately my illness has been causing me back pain and my regular seat was just not comfortable enough - but the IKEA chair is working a treat... so much so that I actually fell asleep in it last night, which doesn't bode too well for my chances of seeing much of the race tonight 😅

Sorry to hear that mate. But sounds like you‘re ready to enjoy (at least some) of the race now and that‘s all that matters.

Btw they‘re actually talking about Gran Turismo on the livestream right now and how more and more racing teams recognize it as a tool for young and aspiring drivers.

Thanks 😊 Ironically, this will be the first time I've been able to properly watch the race in 3 years... 😅

Being at the track for the last two N24s was so much fun, but it is hard to properly follow the race while also taking in the atmosphere and enjoying exploring the track.

I hope everyone following the race here at :gtplanet: has fun! :cheers:

I don't know why. The last last time they didn't block us was in the 2010s.
At least we won't have to deal with their 963 at Le Mans.

Is it normal for the lead cars to be catching the slower cars so quickly??

I thought they had a good few laps of clear track before hitting the last starting group, but apparently not - as if it is not tight enough at the start of the race!!
 
A car there having a jolly ol chat with itself on the way round the track.
