Well, as some of you know, Last month, my GT3 disc broke, which forced me to revisit GT2 for some drifting action..........

I have a new GT3 disc now, but I still wanted to give homage to GT2. So I figured i would make a nice GT2 drift vid.......

Anyway, there are some cool cars like the Sileighty, Cosmo (3 rotor), Supra twin turbo, Chaser, Evo III, FB, etc......

The video is 27mb's, right click-save as........

Edit: Wow. I have recently tried to drift in GT2 for the fun of it, and it never turns out looking that good. Probably mostly because I never use the controller anymore, but anyway....Awesome video.

Seeing all of those different cars, just chaps my ass....WHERE'S GT4!!!

But yeah awesome video.

Thanks for the comments, and to answer your questions..........

Jim X: Doing long smooth drifts in GT2 is quite difficult. It's easy to throw the car around, but very hard to hold the drift for very long, so I can understand your frustration with GT2 drifting......

Jeradd: The drifting was all within a 2 week period. The editing took me a few days........

that was good work..nice vid and choice dumped cars, ya ive tried drifting with the controller in gt2 and its not happening, much harder than gt3...and damnt! all thos cars,the best part is drifting the ugly ass 80's cars, gt4 will take over my life.

lol, that brings back memories of days where we argued over which had better graphics, sony or sega, and which one was going to be around longer, and the rumors of a PS2 was nothing more than just that, rumors, utnil like 3 years later when sony announced the plans for the PS2. And up until a few months ago, thats what I was still playing, LOL. Great vid bro, way to bring back some good memories

Wow, thanks for all the wonderful reply's..... I didn't know everyone was going to like it so much........... I had fun drifting, and editing for the vid, but that's the last GT2 drifting vid for me....
I particularly like the way the ending turned out. With the music kind of softening when it says "Drift On", and then the credits fade out perfectly with the music....... It just kind of worked out that way......

I have a new vid in the works, that is going to shock some of you. I have been thinking about starting it for some time....... Then today, I bought all the cars, set them up, tuned them, drifted, and then captured. I am still going to do some more drifting for the vid tomorrow, but that will be the last day of actual drift time. I am having alot of fun with this project, and I might just be in some cars, that your not used to seeing me in (there's not a single Silvia clip in the whole vid).......... I'll let you all try and figure it out..........

i hope they have all the cars that were in gt2 in gt4... even the drag car...i miss my sileighty and evo3...

I think it has been confirmed, that all the cars from GT2 will be back for GT4...........

so your gonna ff drift a intrepid and stratus, and do hard slide attacks with camaros and mustangs right...im guessing your talking gt3, so pt cruiser and suzuki works...by far the best ever cars made in universe!!!

That's true , but if you have too much angle in a drift in gt2 you going to spin out.

i drift GT2 quite often and i know what its like to drift through those long bends with the weak polygonal texturing, very difficult to keep the car sideways...

anyways, SD, about the vid....excellent job! looks really good. your drifts are nice and smooth. but you couldve used some more cars. the one thing with gt2 and 4WD cars is the physics arent perfect enough to understand spinning out...you couldve gotten some bigger angles in that lancer...

also, you did not include drifting on motor sports land!!!
that is THE sweetest place to drift, you can link the whole track! and get big angle. i think if you included a lap on MSL it woulda kicked the vid up another notch.

all in all, 8/10....great vid!

I completely agree. As I said before, all the drifting was done in a two week period. I had never drifted in GT2 before. I'm sure it could have been better, but I think it is damn good, for maybe 6 hours of total GT2 drift time..........

I almost put MSL in, but none of the views are very exciting, in the replay.......

im a new drifter only been drifting for about a week or 2. i could only drift with gt2 i never bought gt3.i know its only tell bucks but i think its better 2 save up or gt4. 50 bucks for a game is ridiculous

The Cosmo has a 3-rotor engine pushing over 276hp.... It is hardly a slow car.... They drift quite nice IMO.... I can't wait to drift them in GT4.....
