I think there's a lot of difference between 'patching' and 'updating'.
These updates should not be called that. It's blatantly obvious they are just finishing the game after millions have bought it. In effect, I'm going to get the finished game months or years after getting the game. That's like moving into a house under construction which only has the foundation and structure, but no furniture, electricity etc..
Updating is good, but people need to understand what features should have been there from the beginning and which features are being 'added' to the game to enhance it. GT5 has a long way to go before it reaches the stage where it's being dynamic.
