Go with the sims or you ant be doing so good in the long run compared to some of us. Tune your AE86 to about 250 HP, around that general area. Then, turn off the ACS adn TCS and go driftin'.

wat suspension should i put

incorrect... if u leave the suspension stock you can see what the car needs... for instance...an S13 1800cc you use weight transfere to initiate a drift and through the drift you find that the body roll knocks the car off its balance... Just grab a semi-racing suspension.. drop it and stiffen up the front shocks to 7 and leave the back 5... Did this fix your problem??? if it did, then there is no use going to a full racing suspension and worry about alll the tunings of every other little bit...
drifting w/ the stock suspension may not be the easiest... but it over exagerates how the car will handle w/ a tuned suspension, thus teaching you how to correct yourself and become a better drifter...

I always drift cars stock first to get used to them. Then I'll tune accordingly to what the car needs. And a trueno doesn't need 250hp. It's fine with half of that.

Yeh I guess, I just used my old Trueno with 210HP and it'd slide pretty far.

Good answer Sal. I always start with a stock car on sims, and then tune it to fix inherent problems with the car. ;)

i trust my set ups they never fail me. i never start stock. i use common sense in tuning my cars. i just think about which side the weight will shift to that wudda gots it.

lol, this speaks for itself. ;)

Personally I thought Akina 86 was a badass drifter and I would listen to him(back when I started)... but reading other post along with 86's I haven't lost respect for his abilities... I just will never use any of his advice... where as I will use all the advice given to me by SilviaDrifter, exhaust_note and the other two in my sig over his... IMHO.

Which is why my first vid will be for them... :D

You misunderstand. I was just pointing out that you need to use better grammer in your posts. I mean, I have no idea what this means:

i just think about which side the weight will shift to that wudda gots it.

The weight will shift differently depending on the speed of the car, and the course. If you start with a stock car, you can see the limitations of the car, more easily. Then you can tune it accordingly. Then only after that, you should add HP, and change the tires IMHO. ;)

hey, watch your mouth. I don't use sims and I can hold my own in a drift comp. 27's for an average in drift comps isn't to shabby last time I checked. sorry, I just get offended when people knock non-sims drifting. these sims seem to be like a 240SX. all these newcomers think they need them to drift. but I am one of those people that remain independent. keep cool.

rock.
