Why does Bob and the AI rev their cars at the beginning of a race when lined up on the grid?
Why does Bob and the AI rev their cars at the beginning of a race when lined up on the grid?
To launch the car at the desired rpm, I'm guessing.
To make it sound nice.
In go-karts we rev on the dummy grid because otherwise it clogs up the engine if they are left on tick over, so I see the point in it there.
Because it sounds awesome.![]()
But wouldn't it make sense to hold the revs a the deisred position with only 3 seconds left?
Thats why I said to sound nice, Its a game afterall its a good chance to show the ingame sound effects, 12 cars at 4000rpm would sound abit dodgy though.
But it's racing, it doesn't matter what the cars look or sound like.
Plus the AI probably don't care![]()
I can still imagine they do.![]()
It builds tension.
The countdown starts.
AI sweating as they imagine their lines off the grid.
Bob receives orders from his management team.
Go go go.
Watch as FGT overtakes all.
Switch off tv and come back in 4hrs.
