AIM Triton

Anyone download it yet? I got it on my home computer this morning and I must say it's really different then the normal AIM. I haven't got a chance to really play with it yet, but doesn anyone think it's better?

It looks like a cartoon verison of AIM with a ton of extra stuff like e-mail, voice chat, video chat, file sharing, and a bunch of other stuff.

oh... no thanks. I'll stick with GAIM then. Simplicity plus it's got a text replacement feature which kicks ass because you can set it to say, "I'm James Brown Biatch" when you actually type "I'm Rick James Biatch".

I used it on a computer once on one of the computers here at the office, 1.6Ghz P4 / 256MB RAM, and it was scary what it did to it. Now on a faster computer it probably wouldn't have any problem, but if an okay computer was having problems with it? Eh.

I like AIM 5.9 with the Ad-Hack.

I see no slowdown on my P4 3.2ghz/1gb ram, but like you said, no problem on a faster computer.

Thank you guys. I now use GAIM and it ****ing rocks. I just need to fil out aliases for my 250 buddies.

I tried Triton...for 5 minutes. Didn't like it, so I reloaded 5.9. It's not horrible, but I think they're trying too hard now. Instant messaging is supposed to be simple.

i have it running now...nothing special but is a resource hog. i only have 768mb of ram.
