Heh, that's my favorite place to wreck. The Bus Stop's not a bad place to spin out either.

Did you drive your Vette there?

No I wish lol. I took two Skip Barber racing schools there.

Awesome I'm jealous!

Yeah unfortunately I never could do anything with it. The bottom fell out of the market 6 months after and suddenly I didnt have the coin to enter the regional race series (about $25k!). But I learned alot.

Right there is where it's at. Just what I was hoping for with this league.

I am thinking about mixed class LMP's and Race Versions of Chebby Corbettes, Dosh Bipers and Forh Yee Tee's.

I think that would be a nice change of pace. Hmmm what class to drive?

FYI we have two of the five off season races regs and tracks figured out. We will be releasing the schedule by the weekend. Members of STC and Allin GT will be automatically signed up.

I feel your pain Z06. I spent a week at Skip Barber (Limerock) in the late 80's and my oppurtunity didn't work out either. Great experience though.

JT, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to miss the last two races. My work gets ridiculously intense the next few weeks. Originally, I thought we'd be winding it up about now, but due to circumstances out of your control, the racing season and my work are on a collision course. I hate to quit anything. I've never dropped out of any of our races, despite lag issues or incidents or being lapped x number of times.

I must admit, I don't like the recent tone at all. I know you tried to put a quick stop to it , but it just went on and on and......

I really hate to see Bo go. He and I had a lot of fun practicing and he helped me many times with my terrible tuning and even with my racing lines. Although, we bs'ed more than we raced.

I'll still be frequently checking out this thread to see what you guys ( particularly you, DJ ) have planned for next year and the general state of this group.

May all my old racing friends have a great holiday season:)

We'll miss you buddy. The races aren't the same with out you there but business comes 1st. Be sure to keep an eye out for the "off season" thread. JT will be handling the web stuff and posting the link in this thread. We'll probably be starting the 1st week in January

Well Bo is back for sure and regs. are figured out (if we run GT's again) and I think we're back on track. I also have a strong feeling the lag issue is solved from some inside info and lobby/lounge testing.

We are not losing any member of the STC/AIWJT crew so please check on us for the off season fiasco. See you soon and thanks for understanding and sitting tight.

All,

Something I expected has come true. A lot of work has been put in from a couple of individuals to solve the online quality of our races and the racing regulations of our races.

Although it was a rocky road, the solutions given after the recent thread war and raised hackles proves to me, that we ALL want to race with the friends we have here despite differences.

Magic.

On a serious note is anyone testing tonight? I'm gonna need lots of practice diving into turn 1. I've driven it IRL with no problem, but in game I only get it right 1/3 of the time.

I stay out to the right on entry so I can brake in a straighter line. My brake point is at or maybe a bit before the yellow stripes on the pavement for pit exit onto the superspeedway.

Can not crack 1:42s, I'm afraid of turn 1 and the havoc it causes me.

We are using the long pit exit at DRC, not the pop out before the 1st turn exit.

Hate the long exit, i like popping out in front of everyone entering turn 1.

Ya pop out, hit gas, spin it, take out about 7 cars. Make sure you enforce that strategy when RR is rounding the bend.

Unfortunately for me (and the rest of you) this tends to happen at various place around the track.

On another note, what the f is MacGyver doing waiting for road side assistance!!??

very disappointing, shattering peoples dreams.

Hey thanks for the bulls eye

I'll be running the Celica @1100kg for the last races. If last nights sprints are any indication, this will be anybody's race. Quick qualifying times won't mean doodly with the draft. That's right, I said doodly.

Qualifying means nothing at DRC. It's all about staying on track and good drafting technique

Don't ride on the banked turns, the fastest line is on the inside where it's flat, with 2 wheels in the grass. :sly:

As of right now we only have 8 people signed up for tomorrows race. If you haven't signed the sheet please do so I know what to do lobby wise tomorrow. Thanks

I don't think you are allowed to run below the painted track line, 2 wheels have to be on track. It is faster, but it's the same as cutting a corner. You need to keep at least 2 wheels on track. Maybe JT will tell us for sure.

Uh ok, I'll try that line. You first though!

I'm sure I'll buy the DLC cars even if I haven't put 1 mile on the last bunch.
