AIWJT GT500/GT300 Mixed Class Series

Best advice for this track is to practice. Setting up for the esses before the front straight is critical. Also GT500 guys....did some practice with Logan and cB today, the 300 cars are taking the turns as fast if not faster, so patience getting by them will be important. It is almost impossible to pass "off line" in some sections. If you guys are experiencing spinning problems, try raising the rear ride height and setting your car to under steer slightly. It has helped me a lot.

I'm gonna run some tonite.

Scorpion, I was just testing out the MR-S and ran 1'24-25's. Low of 1'24.1. I used all stock settings with max aero and -25 ballast. Maybe try it like that. That car is a hoot on this track!

-25 ballast??? what do you mean -25ballast? I thought we could not take any weight off of the cars.:dunce:

just ran a couple of full length race laps in R0ADRASH's lounge.
still could not get below the 1:26:xxx lap time's. However have managed to make it full distance with only one pit stop :)
Boshuter ran a 1:22:xxx in Logan's lounge on his 3rd lap:eek:
with little or no really bad tire wear at all :odd:
I can finish the whole race in under 44 mins including pit stop(s)
but with Bo's times he will almost be able to lap me twice!:scared:
:nervous:I hope he has to stop twice or I am in big trouble:crazy::boggled:
don't think I will be a factor for the rest of the races, I think that Bo, NCR and Logan are going to just pull away from my slow ass:dunce:

Can you confirm your leagues interest to participate in 3D3 Racing's "GTP Inter-League SuperGT GT500 Challenge" by posting to this thread in the "interest checks" forum. Once at least three series commit to the event we'll move it to the "spot races" forum.

If you're first to sign up you'll get to reserve the preferred car you indicated which is still available. I'll be posting invites to the other series shortly and it's first come first server as far as spots and car choice.

RR, Jess, cB, please follow WRP's link in his post above. Prepare you car. You must purchase new, oil change only and break in. No engine upgrades. Full race specs. are listed in WRP's interest post. XANAVI is our ride. Mediums. Spa.

To the entire league. WRP has extended an invitation to our league to join in on a inter-league GT500 challenge race. I believe that the extraordinary sportsmanship within this league has allowed us to be offered this invite. I thank you all for the fun racing, good times and general mayhem we do so well.

The ballast position what I was referring to. Not adding or subtracting any weight whatsoever. Sometimes I've moved the position to the front of MR's if I'm getting too much oversteer.

I only ran about 6 laps like that so didn't really experiment much with it.

Well, after some hard practice I'm finally able to T-Bone the ambulance!

Just read on IGN that PSN will be down for maintenance tomorrow from 8am PST till 10pm PST. So if you guys haven't practiced yet try to get on before it goes down. The track set on real for grip is much different than on low

GT5 will be doing maintenance during 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. est tomorrow as well :nervous:

hope they don't wreck anything that is working right now....:dopey:
 
Had a Moment of Glory last night. Ran the new Nascar TT seasonal about 10:30 to get the credits. After running it for about 15 laps I was ranked #1! In the World! lol. This lasted all of 10 minutes then fell to #5 after 11:15. Got up this morning and was down to #108 and dropping fast!

Well after extensive testing last night and this morning, I have some sad news:guilty:
I cannot get my car to go any faster than 1:24:xxx on Trial Mountain Reverse :ouch:
This means that NCR, Boshuter and most likely Logan will be able to easily pull away from me during the race and I will be fighting with Matics and Supersnake for last place bragging rights :indiff:
It should take me about 44 mins to finish all 34 laps including my pit stop.

According to my calculations if Boshuter and NCR make two pit stops I might be able to challenge them If I have an incident free 1st stint :drool:
If Boshuter and NCR make only one pit stop then I will be 3-4 laps behind them at the end of the race :eek:
If Logan keeps getting faster then he will be able to challenge the to blazingly fast Celica's up front for the first half of the race :sly: and maybe even pull out a win :dopey:

p.s. ever practice so much on one track that your Oil light comes on?!?!?!:nervous:

WRP made it for us using a capture card. Real nice. Think I may try to get one.

I've been thinking about getting one also. I had one years ago, but haven't done anything like that for a long time. If you don't need 1280X1024 resolution you can get one for less than $50. Anything over 720p is wasted for youtube anyway.
 
Not I. I'm thrilled if I'm in the 1:24's. I mostly see 1:25's and 26's. I just don't seem to have enough time for practice these days. Oh well. I'll still manage to enjoy myself.

Well it can be done but........good luck. Also getting on pit road is tricky so be cautious. I'll have the lobby open around 9pm est
