AIWJT GT500/GT300 Mixed Class Series

The GTP Inter-League SuperGT GT500 Challenge is this Saturday. There are two semi races before a final race. The AIWJT crew, R0ADRASH, Jess, ncr and myself are in Semi A. Bo will be waiting in the flank to run in case any of us have a connection error.

We are racing the top drawer players and are excited to have been invited to the semi race even as the chance we face to make the final is slim.

Here is the schedule.

Timing (All times GMT)
18:00 to 18:15...Warm-up............Pre-race practice [optional*]
18:15 to 18:30...Drivers Meeting....Driver instructions & staging course entry
18:30 to 18:45...Qualification......Single stint 15 minute live quali for the semis
18:45 to 19:30...Semi Final Races...45 minute races in two lobbies simultaneous
19:30 to 20:00...Break..............Tally points, determine advancing drivers/teams
20:00 to 20:15...Qualification......Single stint 15 minute live quali for finals
20:15 to 21:00...Finals Race........45 minute race
20:15 to 21:00...Consolation Race...45 minute race [optional]

We are proud to be able to represent the AIWJT Crew and the STC Crew by racing clean and keeping it live.

I did about 30 laps last night between the races and practice, and I couldnt get under 1:26. Switched to the Lexus and it was pretty much the same. I guess Ill just be the HRT/Virgin team of the race tonight lol.

1.26 is on pace for the 300 class. You will be fine.

This track rewards "safe" driving, if you can keep it on track for the whole race, you will do fine. 👍

That Lexus is just slow, your Subaru is a much better choice.

1.26 is on pace for the 300 class. You will be fine.

Dangit, cB and I ran with the 300 guys last night. You'll do fine with 26's
 
I should have the lobby open by 9pm est. for any last minute practice
 
Ill be getting in about 5 mins til 930, still at work.
 
Laguna will be rescheduled for Thursday the 8th due to the connection issues we had.

Suzuka will take place the following Thursday.

Races will be held on Thursdays for the rest of the season. If Thursdays won't work let me know, we can switch back to Fridays. Your consideration for Thursdays is appreciated.

Let's all clear our cache before next week.

From your GT page (Main page) click on the little gear wheel in the lower left of your screen. Click options, scroll down to network and click on it then click the reset cache button. Purpose is to clear out the buffer that stores up during online activities to make for a smoother experience the next time you are online. I hope.

We will do 2, 3 lap races in each lounge, 1st with mics. 2nd without. Watch your times for consistency each lap and how your car handles.

Course Laguna.
 
Thursday sounds ok to me. I'll be ready this time. If its possible, could I stay in this league for the rest of the season?

When we are doing the "no mic" testing, the lounge should be set up with mics disabled. I'm not sure if just having everyone turn them off is as good as having them disabled.

Also, race/room quality should be set to "standard", having it higher won't make the racing any better. I'm not sure what it's been set on up to now in RR's lounge.

I'm really hoping we can get this sorted out. Laguna is one of the worst tracks for connection problems, especially with a full room.


Sorry for leaving abruptly last night, it was clear that the race was a washout and I had some work to do in town on a computer system in a local buisness. I ended up not getting home until 3:30am, so I'm glad I left and got started when I did.

It's been set to standard for all races.
 
My 2 cents on last nights race; I say we just bag the Laguna race and move on to Suzuka. I think We should be ok there. It's a bigger track and shouldn't have as many issues.
 
Good job racers in the multi league race. We ran hard and clean. We just got out raced. It was a great experience. Thanks to the 3D3 guys for organizing the event

We've received not one complaint from anyone regard any AIWJT driver so you guys can be proud you ran a super clean race. If we do another event like this in the future you'll definitely be invited.

Thank you for inviting us for the race, we are proud to have raced clean and honest. Come by the AIWJT and STC camp anytime.
 
OK crew. I don't want this season to take very long and eat into STC. With that said we are going to run Suzuka on Thursday. After RR's suggestion I thought it would be best because I really don't have the time to test a bunch of alternaives to the lag at Laguna and secondly I dont want anyone to be let down if the lag occurs again. I am going to sum it up to Laguna being Laguna. I believe Bo may be onto something with Laguna being a wacky track for a lot of cars. In the meantime get your connections fixed because if I see anyone glitching during qualification they will not race.

I want to have as many cars on track as we can and set rooms to make that possible. Room will be set to Standard as it has always been. Please join Brettcee's lounge as mentioned in a previous post so we can run some tests at Suzuka. Monday 6:30PM PST. Mic. use pending tests.
