28 + 1 tonight. RR lounge with mics. 6:00pm PST. We exit at 6:30 wait for RR to open a public lobby. Mics. disabled, no damage, no visible damage no penalties. Room set to standard. At Spa after the 500's have finished qualifying please pull onto the race course and stop fully. This has proven to help prevent black screens.

So no finishing off the start countdown with donuts?

I may be late to the race. I have to drop my daughter back off at her moms at 6pm PST so hopefully i'll be back just in time to make the race.

We will wait. Don't run red lights.

I don't even want to race now:indiff:
good on ya Bo for being able to run 22's and 23's in race trim
I can only get 5 laps in the 24's before I crap out and lap times go up exponentially :scared::crazy:

however I discovered something interesting last night, the pit straight is short but has two hairpin corners at either end. I takes approximately 20's for me to get from the final corner to the end of the pit exit. My average pit time from entrance to exit is around 22 seconds. It may be possible for me to run 4 pit stops and still finish up in the top 4! 💡

guess I will find out tonight if it is 👍 or I look like a :dunce:

Scorp, throw that stopwatch and your calculator away and quit worrying about it. You know that everything will change once the race starts. I feel good about my pit strategy, but it may not work, and if it does, it may not be the right way to go. Just race and have fun and things will work out one way or another..... it's all good if we're racing. 👍

Good luck tonight everyone.

Thanks again JT for setting this up and putting up with all the issues. The races are great but I enjoy the practice runs and conversations almost more. Hopefully the lobby will run smooth, if not I can host the 300's in my lounge. I think I've got everyone on my friend list except supersnake.

Thanks man. I'm going to hope that PD fixes this stuff so we can get back on mics.

Even if/when they fix things, I'd rather run the actual races without mics. Less distraction and it is easier to concentrate.

Scorpion, I feel your pain. But I will bet there will be a race between us. Fyi, I slowed my pace a bit and got 12 laps out of mediums.

Great race last night everyone. Sure was exciting. Thanks again to JT for running this series and to everyone that participated.

My "Off Season" race series starts next week and will start the same time as we normally do. The link to the thread is a few posts back.

See you guys over there!

Well all right, that was sure fun. Anyone have any lap time/grip or lag problems?

Was a tough and clean race in 300. For some reason I had a hard time getting going. Lots of good back and forth w/ everyone. Way to go Boshuter, great pacing. Kind of sad to put the 300's back in the garage.

Best moments: trying to hold my ground and make a pass with a thundering herd of GTR's breathing down my neck. A pack of those beasts is LOUD.
Then a pubber entering a room marked PRIVATE-KICK, watching for a couple laps then posting he's looking for some clean racing! Too funny.

See you guys on the track. TC's look like fun.

I didn't really have any lag problems and my times seemed ok for the way I was running. I never did push the car for lap times, so I can't really say if it was slower or not, but I think it was fine.

For me it was a very uneventful race, I ran by myself for most of the race and in the middle I kind of "zoned out" or something, I was having problems concentrating and was missing braking points and turn in's. In the last few laps I knew you were behind me, but I had a comfortable lead, then I got into DJ while passing him and went off track and brushed the wall. You made up ground on me there, but I was really saving tires and I knew you were running hard to catch me so I felt really good about being able to stay out front if you did catch me.

I really enjoyed this series, even with the issues we had. Everyone stuck it out and it ended up being very good. Thanks JT and RR for putting this on, and thanks ncr for all the great battles we had in this series..... looking forward to the new TC series. 👍

There was a couple of close calls last night when a pack of GTR's would come up on the 300 cars, especially on the drafting straights. It was hairy I'll have to watchh the replay from NCR's and Scorpion's view. I know we went barreling by you guys at over 170. I still wish we could use the mics, communication last night would have been a good thing. Fun race though keeping JT on his toes and trying to keep Mike behind me.

Originally, how I got into this series was when I pm'ed JT asking questions about running a league/series because I was looking to start one of my own. He kindly offered to let me run at the Laguna race since there was a spot open. Luckily I was able to tag along for the remainder of the series...it was a blast! Hopefully there's a spot for next season because I'd like to tangle with the 500 guys.

With that said, I am attempting to get another Super GT series going on saturdays. If anyone is interested, please let me know! DA's Super GT Series hopefully isnt a bust. Yes I know, we just finished with these cars.

Thanks JT for the advice and answering my many questions.

I really enjoy close calls. I was looking for the need to make split second decisions above and beyond single class racing. When your with another car in the same class you can really anticipate what the other driver may do and be almost correct almost all the time with your assumption. Thus this mixed class was born. Coming up on the 300's is another deal all together. ncr as himself is a whole greater deal on top of that. He holds ground non-stop. I laid two tires on the grass lap 17 to get the train around. It was one of the 300/traffic highlights of the race for me. I am watching that from all car views in 5.1 full blast today.

Ha. Heck no, I won't budge! You guys were awesome getting by in the pack. I just held my breath and closed my eyes!

I like this one. All the 500's were working their way through us...was very intense. Did I mention clean? RR didn't bump me off trackn at all! (jk of course). Try watching that from my or ncr's perspective. Keep in mind my mediums strategy worked great when I was in draft distance but I just couldnt keep pace with those softies.

Congrats to R0ADRASH and Boshuter for their overall championship class wins!

Points are completed and will be posted here later today.

DA I bumped you in turn 1 on a lap. I tried to hug the inside. Sorry about that. I was runing from a bunch of guys, I think they wanted to beat me up.

lol You didn't slow me up really. I love this multiclass racing. Next time I'd like to experience it from a 500. Either way, this **** is fun!

Congratulations to xR0ADRASHx & Boshuter. I had a fairly uneventful race also. The GT500 pack left me behind (I was racing to conservative) and the GT300 was behind me, so there I was stuck in the middle. On the second to last lap I looked in my rear view mirror and saw RR & JT barreling down on me, so I picked up my pace so as not to get lapped. On the last lap, right after I passed start/finish line, I realized at that pace I was going to run out of fuel. And I did. I was hoping the clock would time out before the GT300s caught up to me, because there's nothing worse than letting a 300 finish in front of my 500:scared:.

Thanks to roadrash, allinwitjt and dj for putting all the races together for us.

And now something a little uncomfortable. I know this past season has been a trial for us with all the issues we've been having. I know things got heated around the mid-season and brought the worst out of some of us, but we all stuck through it. I'd like to apologize for my outburst a few days ago. In the end this is just a game, once you start stressing about it then it becomes not fun. We all found each other because we didn't like the BS that went on else where. So new year, new attitude.:cheers:

:gtpflag:

Thanks to Brett for sticking words on photos, putting together the spreadsheet and getting the spreadsheet screen shot together after I do all the numbers and junk.

I don't know why these pics appear out of focus. On my ps3 they're crystal clear. How did you upload your pics jt? I shared my pics online and put them on my photobucket after saving them from the gran turismo website. Would I better off saving them to my ps3 and loading to photobucket from there?

Yeah DA that was my dirty pass on you.

I export my photos to the XMB menu. Copy them to a thumb drive, drop them on my laptop and photobucket them.

Don't you think you could have waited and made that pass on the straight, I made that exact same move and got the chrome horn............

Don't think so. You were behind Mike and moved out of the line on purpose to duck inside last minute against a car the same caliber as yours. I approached from the right and stayed right for the inside. DA had time to see me. Where was Mike when you hit him? I'll tell you, far outside and you still smacked him. Where was I? Well inside right? So who moved on who in my case? I sure didn't run wide.

Mike is in a 500 not a 300. Any 300 could expect that move. A 500 is not going to expect the move you tried. Or didn't try due to a bad sense of draft or bad braking.

So I invite everyone to look at my move on DA. If its bad rule me wrong. I'll learn something new maybe. I'd really like to hear criticism on this one. I'll back off next time.

I have learned in this series that passing the 300's in the medium to high speed turns is almost impossible due to there ability to keep momentum. The slower turns is a little easier. The lack of communication that is available to us now really compounds the problem. In the past we were able to say "NCR I'm going to pass on the right" and everything was good. Now the 500 have to guess where the 300's are going.

As far as the incident with JT and DA no one wrecked or lost position. No harm no foul especially since both parties are in agreement
