16 drivers will be racing altogether with 8 in gt500 and 8 in gt300. Replying in this thread doesnt reserve you a spot. Once the main thread is posted, I'll drop a link in here so everyone will be able to attempt to join. It will be first come, first serve. That way everyone has a fair shot at joining.

-All cars will be limited according to PURE specs (ONLY PREMIUM SUPER GT cars will be used)
-Tires are restricted to racing medium and racing hard.
~Drivers can start on either tire but during each race, a set of each tire must be ran (similar to the Indy car series)

Any rules and regulations I've put together may change based on other peoples ideas or opinions so I/we can make this series as fun as possible. If anybody has any questions, please ask.

Times for the races will be Saturday afternoons with the room opening at 3 and race starting at 4.

I do have all the details ready so I'm able to answer close to anything about this series.

***I will post the series thread in the main racing series thread as soon as a few more people show interest. Car specs and regulations will be shown in that thread. Don't assume everything about this series is shown in this thread. All the nitty gritty details will be revealed in the main thread.

Just a heads up, regulations for GT300 are pending. When I find a way to make it as equal in the least complicated way I will do so!

Yay, another Super GT series that doesn't even try to incorporate standards. Heaven forbid everyone drives a different vehicle!

I agree, there's a super large array of race cars to pick from. Especially cars '06 and newer.

Kind of easier to use the Premium models as EVERYONE can get them easily. Yes the Standards are usable but not everyone can find one when they need/want it due to the retarded UCD system.

So use what you have. 💡

I never posted what cars were going to be used yet (I already intended on sticking to premium models) or any other of the details. Seeing as this is the interest check forum, I assumed my post should appear a bit vague. For example:

[me]: Hey guys, I'm going to be starting a Super GT series. Who's interested?

[you]: I'm interested, keep me posted

[me]: Cool. I'll post in the Racing Series forum the full series info and you can sign up there

Isnt that how the interest check forum works?

Yeah, but it's usually best to make sure you have enough interest to warrant posting the new thread. If you get 1-2 people that are interested, it's probably not worth it.

Then I guess only time will tell.

Hooray, another one of these stupid Japanese NASCAR Series, to go along with the other 50 of them, and they are blocking down my new ideas that haven't been done before. So yeah, after this post, a necessary bump is in order for my thread.

Ok. Was your post necessary?

Hey man, while I agree with you almost completely, I wouldn't be doing what you are doing. May not end well.

Edit: And don't "bump" your threads. Not allowed.

I'm just frustrated that every single series that I start that are all pretty much new ideas gets no replies, and then some series that have 50 others that are the same gets every reply in the entire forum.

Japanese NASCAR? :boggled:

It is many different manufacturers using the same exact specs with just a different logo on the front as well as different grille designs. Sounds the same to me, just on all road courses as opposed to mostly ovals

I'm new to participating in these series/leagues. So to me, people starting Super GT series hasnt been done over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Although I have been a member for a few years, I really wasnt all that active until 6 months or so ago. I dont consider myself a stellar driver and I know if I entered into some of the series on this forum, I'd get waxed. So I decided to start my own series. There's several people I know from running open lobbies that are definitely interested in this series and a few from gtplanet. Sorry that Super GT cars have become as monotonous and boring as NASCAR to you.

But still, if you wanted a series to be your own that you can compete in, why don't you make one with a new idea?

Have you actually driven the cars? While the NASCAR's are the same, the SuperGT's definitely are not, drive a Nissan GT-R and a Honda NSX and you will see the cars are completely different.

But yes, there is way to many SuperGT series about at the moment.

I haven't tired out of Super GT yet. I like the cars still. Surely, if anybody decides to run in my series, after running these cars I'll want to run something different. My next plan is to run multiclass racing with the dlc touring cars.

That's a good sounding series.👍

2 very valid points. My timing of wanting to start this series may have not been the greatest.

Here's an idea:

Run only GT300 based cars and call it something else? Like a Super Touring series or something? That way it's unique and may gain more interest.

I've driven both of those stealth models @ Cape Ring North (You have to admit, even though it is unrealistic it is a good test track) with a DFGT with 10 FFB and they felt the same to me, close to the same times (human error caused the difference in times)

I dont know enough about the cars honestly. Like which cars are better than others or which are fairly matched.

Test them out, run many laps on the tracks you want to do, see their lap times and group them based on that. I would be interested in something like that.

Arcade mode huh?
