All I want is an E46 M3

I have a CSL, the GTR, and the E92.

Why oh why will one not show up in the used car dealership?

I'm thinking of purchasing this car in the spring and want to put it through it's (digital) paces first!

On that note, for anyone that has one in the game, and in real life, how do they find it?

I've driven an S13, S14, 3000GT, 458 Italia, and 430 Scuderia in game and real life, and there's mixed results. The Ferrari's are spot on, but the older cars, not so much.

Yea i have every m3 matter of fact every M car in the game just keep looking it will show up, and BTW if you buy an M3 you wont regeret it my dad has an 04 E46 M3 competition package its is phenomenal, i myself have a 330ci ZHP. I also have a CSL front bumper for sale

Really? Regular E46 M3s show up for me all the time in the UCD, always in LeMans Blue. I could have about 10 of them by now if I had bought them all.

I think it always shows up in the UCD as Laguna Seca blue for me.

I have a couple of laguna seca blue M3s, bought purely for the colour iv not driven it in game yet thou.

I used to own a silver 2002 SMG and loved the car in RL. Such an awesome sound @ 8000 rpm.

I'll test it out tonight if I get chance and see how they compare.

Can't really feel in the game what you feel in real life. I'd say it drives more like a 330 than an M3.

But ya good luck with the car you buy. I'm waiting for my lease to end so I can get one too. Hope maintenance isn't too bad on it.

Just gave the m a blast round the ring

In game car sounds pants compared to RL, they have got the slight 'nose bounce' right thou. Admittedly my In game one had a chip, race air filter and strange 1 weight reduction compared to my bog standard RL one.

If u like the game version then you will love the real version

Ps, service costs can be high,, BMW quoted me £1250 for an inspection 2 service.... I got a specialist to do it for £250 instead lol. Mine averaged 16.9mpg no matter how fast or slow I drove it!

M3 in Lagunaseca Blau always shows up for me. I buy it every time just for the paint chip, and then I paint it in some other original ///M color true to the 2004 E46 M3.

Slightly related, I really want the AMG 190 EVO2 DTM car but have never seen one and I'm level 30 and I check nearly all the time.

I'm beginning to wonder if it actually exists! I've got 3 of the road cars but not the DTM car.....

I've seen the 190E EVO2 DTM in UCD, I think it was like 1.4m cr or something. I got mine from trade though at 0km

Back to topic, it's werid that they left out the competition cars in the game, like they have E46 M3 but not C32/55. And then they have W211 E55 but not E39 M5... I have E39 M5 and C32 IRL, wish they could have included those

Used to work in a dealership service department...I have one of the Inspection 1 and 2 technician sheets laying around somewhere. Not surprisingly, most of that procedure/cost is labor...hence the term "inspection."

M cars are more expensive to maintain than regular BMWs (which arent cheap either). I'd avoid going to the dealership for repairs if you have a good mechanic somewhere else. Labor rate where I worked was about $150 per hour (and I left there 3 years ago).

E46 M3 is a beautiful car, I have driven one hard in real life and its such a well balanced beautiful sports car, feels like an extension of the body when you are driving fast. 👍

The E46 gen 3 series, I think, was the last of the truly good-looking BMWs... I just can't seem to love the E92 ones too much.... I love my trio of E46s in the game though! Can't go wrong!

I have an E46 M3 and an M3 GTR. The standard M3 was one of the first car's I bought and I have seen them show up a lot in my UCD keep checking the dealer they should show up before too long.

In real life I drive a BMW 99 740iL(e38), its flashed and dyno'd to do 187mph delimited.

i'm in a car club; which allows me a chance to meet other bmw car clubs from all over the country. I know someone with the same car you want(e46) only difference is my friend put a mustang engine in his(google it). I know another guy with a e46 but not a m3; its a 02 318. He put a 04 m3 engine in it..

so you have a few choices as far as bmw's go, they are highly interchangeable. I met a guy who put a e38 engine in a e30
and I would like to put a 2004 m5 engine(s62) in my car=425hp

first thing I would ask if your considering buying ANY bmw 95 and newer..

how handy and comfortable are you working on your own car? if not; you need a wing and a prayer, and a very experienced BMW tech; you can call your own.

Its a known fact that when you have a luxury vehicle in mint condition they can see you coming. an oil change cost me around $200(need the tools to reset computer in order to do myself)

Remember most of the time you cant put oem e46 parts on a M3, but you can always put M3 parts on e46, if that makes any sence

But matienance can be expensive for an e46 M3 always do preventative matienace before things go bad i learned that with my 330ci but more so for the m3. And why is there no BMW e36 M3?, horrible and why cant we turbo and supercharge unless they come with a turbo (135i) and why is there a premium g35 coupe but no premium e46 m3 coupe baffles me, love the g35 but the m3 does perform better all round

Speaking of the 135i...why is there no 335i sedan or coupe? Most sensible people know that the 135i is ugly and overweight. The only thing it has going for it is the brakes. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but oh well...

i myself have a 330ci ZHP.

How do you like the car? I'm trying to convince my dad to buy one to replace his boring Accord. I read alot of reviews saying it was the perfect combination between the normal 3 series and the M3. Its certainly an AMAZING sport package, not like your typical "upgraded rims and sport tuned suspension" sport packages. The alcantara interior looks amazing in pics too.

I also read it has a quicker steering ratio than the M3. 13:1 like my MINI.
