But seriously, why doesn't anyone use QuickTime formats anymore? QTP is such a superior video player to WMP.
 
I find them both irritating personally, but it's just another case of Windows dominance clouding the market, everyone thinks Windows Media Video is the only thing that works with Windows Media Player. It's stupid, but with QuickTime not supported out of the box by Windows people are going to target their stuff at the largest market.
 
i prefer divx/avi

i ain't like no wmv, rm or mov - because i'd have to use media player classic for them instead of bsplayer that has separated console and video parts so i can have full screen video on my tv while adjusting stuff on my desktop
 
Yes, divx/avi is the superior medium by far. Then WMV, because it is more compact and less processor hungry than Quicktime, and finally quicktime. For online, I think realplayer can be surprisingly good.

More importantly though, I just want to see the video. :D

Are you kidding me? WMP takes up at least 40% more processor on my mahcine than QTP does (Could be cause I'm on a G4...). Plus, QTP has a FAR superior searching (i.e. video scrolling) ability, which is the real reason I like it better.

I need to find a decent divx player...

But yeah, lets forget that and get the video!

RIGHT CLICK SAVE AS:

video 1 = WMV - no audio - of "unveiled" cars 51 (captures were taken from this footage)

video 2 = WMV - "quick and dirty" montage of menu's, amalfi and 2/3's lap of nurb (gameplay footage). GT Prologue music overdubbed...replacing background convention noise.

video 3 = same as above but DIVX'd

video 4 = old GT Concept montage I did awhile back. Check it out for old times sake.

Vids are not spectacular....because of lack of direct feed connection..... and also lack of time to capture more footage. Kinda had my hands full...but something is better than nothing.

Quick and dirty? Is that the 165.38MB one you're reffering to? :eek:

nice vids. thanks. i couldnt tell, but if you get hit from behind, does the crash effect happen too? also, did GT3 have that much pitch change when you were in car? i REALLY noticed the pitchchange/bodyroll of the screen when the evo was being used. crazy stuff.
 
New Zealand is a beautiful country and you should come here one day if you get the opportunity. :) I recommend the South Island, not just because i live here, but because it has the best scenery (in my opinion) and least amount of people. :)

8.06MB done after about half an hour or more. :(
