im new to the forums, and sorta new to the game i havent unlocked jack ****....but i'd really like to drift and i have the codes or w/e to get hella money sooo could you help me set up a perfect drifter?

Welcome to GTP.

This is going to sound harsh....but did you look at the big sticky's at the top of the forum you just posted on? Or look at monkey magic's signature or try a search?

Well, you should. Anyway, you're not going to be a good drifter if you're not first a good driver. Don't use the cheats. Go through the license tests and leagues the right way so you learn the game. If you use cheats, it'll be a year before you really figure out drifting....and we'll all be playing GT4 by then! :sly:

*offtopic* Ahhhh, cant wait till gt4 :dopey:
anyways, back on topic, Like swift said. Im nowhere near as good as most the people who drift on here (good anyways) but without me playing gt3 before i got into drifting i would be lost. There are lots of things you learn in the regular racing that helps out with drifting. Like learning fast lines, can most of the time help you out on finding drift lines, braking points, etc. But just go through and play the actuall game and then go have fun and drift. :sly:

OHHH and welcome to GTP :) 👍

sorry bout not doin the research, and i had passed all the license tests sept rally, but on a different playstation and i dont have the save :-/

well, i disagree with that, because i drifting on one memor card and another is grip racing

There are a slew of settings for many different cars on this site. Take a look of any of the links above.

FOr starters, the license test teach you how to control and operate a car when driving it. Drifting takes a similar approach in that you have to learn how to control a car elegantly whilst right on the edge of losing control.

At least bronze the license test, as you tackle the desire to drift. In this case, learn to drift in a car with about 300hp, and on sim tires. This will give you the basic skills to break it loose, hang it out, and pull it back in at the appropriate time that you want to. ANybody can hang the back end out at nearly any given time, but to do it when you want, as long as you want, and pull it back when you want (not when the car/track/tires decide) to.

My suggestion? An RX-7 infinni, with about 280hp should get you started.

Uh...you disagree that playing through the game and learning about actually drifitng will help your become a better drifter?

When i first started to play GT3, i use cheat codes for money and i didnt finish my license, and right now, i still cant finish my license even if i try my best....but i learn how to drift good and grip fast by practicing and my friend teaching me..i guess its who you hang with that will make you faster or slower...but i know i shouldn't of use cheats and stay natural like everyone else but i bought the game late and i didnt want to take my time.....but i think u dont need to finish your license test to be a good driver, its just my opinion.....

welcome back, night drifter, long time no see ^_^ ok back to the topic plz
