Well, I'm 41 and I'm at lvl 17 A-spec and 15 B-spec. I've been playing GT since it came out in in 1997/98. My wife also thinks that I'm a big kid but since we don't have any children there is no competition for the PlayStation.

That sounds good! 👍

I can make a little web site to get it started and keep everyone in touch.💡

What do you guy's think?

That would be great! I was thinking along lines like that. Maybe a sub-forum here at GTPlanet?

We have no kids as well, and its good to know that the PS3 will always be MINE. The wife dont play games, so i really have it made if you think about it. :)

Just like everything the wife tells me, it goes in one ear and out the other 👍

Spoiler:
At your 75th birthday GT5 will gift you a very loud Horn item, a Mobility 5mph vehicle, an empty can of paint with the lid rusted on and your own museum card based on your profile picture. But you also get all your licence tests cleared to zero so you have to retake them all due to your age.

FUNNY!! LOL Very creative and innovative but I hate those Super license tests.

Just saw this post. 63yo here, just retired at the first of the year. Lvl 20 'A' spec/Lvl 5 'B' spec. Would love to get online with some of you old f----, lol. PSN roketJsquerl.

Thanks guys. I'll be sending out some friend requests today. Maybe I'll meet some of you on-line but I first want to improve my handling skills with the faster cars like my Mazda 727B (I just love those colors!).

I'm "two-footing" my DFGT setup and trying to get a better touch/feathering on my throttle response. I find it easier to use my left foot for braking but since I don't drive like that in "real" life, my "virtual" driving needs more practice :) Sometimes letting up on the throttle is better than braking. What are your opinions?

Alex

Looking for the perfect line. ...
First off - Hey nice to see older people out here- and I thought at 48 I was too old- Wife always ribs me - I have a Wii and PS3 hooked up to the TV using a killer recliner with a G-27 and WheelStand Pro.
On the question- I personally find I have to use the adjustable limited slip diff and adjust out the decel torque when using decel to brake otherwise it throws the rear end sideways. - Feel free to send me friend request - this PSID or gearloos

I'm 62. Any other older >60 yr. old guys playing at this level? A Spec = 24 B Spec =23

I will be exactly half your age in a couple days and I'm at level 31 :dopey: I hope to still be racing when I'm 60+ and asking the same question

Hi Jerome, Are you the guy I should be asking about possibly having a sub-forum for older racers?

Ya got me in the age department ... or do you? I guess it depends on your point of view :)

I just turned 50 am currently level 27 A-Spec and level 27 B-Spec

btw on Forza I race with one guy who is 62 and another who is 63 both are very cool.
Edit: Another btw. The guy I race with who is 62 is also in NY must be something in the water up there :)

Thanks everyone for making me feel "young" again. I'm 42 but I've got six kids. I had to go out and buy another PS3 to keep them away from mine!

I'm only at Level 20 A-Spec and Level 3 (!) B-Spec. I can't wait until PD implements PC controlled B-Spec races. I need more money!

Haven't been online yet because I don't have time (and you don't earn credits). Now Gt Academy is coming up. Can't wait. Good luck to every one. Friend requests welcome: GTP_Viking

Left foot braking is second nature to me when I'm racing now regardless of the real world opposite. The upright on the Playseat chassis makes it impossible to use my right foot anyway.

I just recently made a simple modification that makes a huge difference. I disassembled the G25 pedal assembly and switched the stiffest spring from the clutch with the softest spring from the throttle. Now there is noticeably more pressure on my throttle foot which makes it so much easier to apply and remove smaller amounts of pedal travel or in other words, fine tune my throttle application. I'm now able to come off tight corners in lower gears without spinning the rears and have much better feel to what I am doing. It really makes a difference when racing in the rain. Takes just about 1 hour to complete the mod :)

We did some research about what age people are racing in sim racing at one of the Swedish forums I'm a member of. The result was that the average sim racer was above 33 years old, was married or had a steady girl/boyfriend and one or more kids.

The youngest was 13 and the oldest was 74 if my memory serves me right.

I'm only 45 and Apec 21 and Bspec 11. I've been simracing for more than 10 years and raced two 24H lemans races virtually, one of the best times in my life.

I'm 69, retired, and been sim racing forever, or so it seems.
Main sim is iRacing since 2008. Just got GT5 recently, but not been online yet. Waiting for an old guys racing lobby.
I'm only at level 19 A-Spec and level 5 B-Spec, so a long way to go yet.
