Well, let me ask then. Why say it? What purpose does that statement serve?

I usually see it when a post ......

Blah Blah Blah Exorcet.

Your opinion isn't everyones , don't try and make it as such.

You're the first to complain if you feel someone has strayed from the topic in question , so what do you call this ?

Fail.

heard a lot of g 27 complains now, is it true? is it not fully compatible? I have g25 for 2 years now, working perfectly. I have used it more than my own car.

True - pedal, wheels and LED indicator work fine (although i have not tried the sequential shifter) but i not managed to assign functions to the buttonss on the wheel itself (or it is very impractical) 👎.
FFB seemed really weak too even when cranked up to 10 (11! :sly:)

I usually see it when a post responds to another post that has something negative to say about GT5 which implies that the complaint isn't justified because no game can be perfect.

"No game is perfect, therefore complains are unjustified" doesn't quite make sense. No one is complaining that GT5 isn't perfect, just that it has not met a certain standard. As a consumer, it's in your best interest to voice when something doesn't meet your standards and why instead of covering up for errors. I see "no game is perfect" as the latter.

You remind me of a college professor, you try to sound technical to get your "correct" point across but it doesn't work. I simply stated something that is very true in most all cases and you blow it out of proportion by talking about standards, consumers, and errors?

You might want to consider being a little more open minded about things instead of amplifying them into something they're not.

You're a joke bud.

I don't get it. I'm probably among the most open minded members of the forum, though I suppose that's my biased opinion.

My post wasn't technical, just simple common sense. Maybe I can make it easier to understand. Yes, it is true that no game is perfect, just like it's true that grass is often green. But posting that grass is green isn't relevant to the subject of this thread. The same is true about posting that no game is perfect; it is not relevant.

Seeing a post like that (no game is perfect) makes it seem to me that you feel that being upset over GT5's flaws is unreasonable when it is not at all. Posting that "no game is perfect" isn't presenting any new or interesting information, and not helping anyone. This is why I wonder why anyone would post such a thing at all.

guys - i won't take sides so please, let's keep it on topic: i'd like to consider the above parenthesis closed, thanks 👍

We shouldn't take everything too literally. "No game is perfect", in this case, implies that, at least, we have GT5 to play and that's better not having it at all.

I'm sure that was PART of the implication.

I have to disagree with the comment about online being the reason to play and, "If you're not completely or heavily devoted to online game, then I think GT5 is probably best skipped". I, for one, am always running laps and testing out different cars ALL the time in Arcade or Practice (arcade for races, practice for time trials). I'm more of an offline player and I'm still interested in this game. This "proves" that Online isn't the only reason one should buy this game. And I know that wasn't statement directed towards each individual, it just seem like a generalized statement for the most part.

Well that is a good point. I also enjoy lapping and just trying out cars, though it's a distant second to racing in terms of time spent. That said, I almost always try to do those things online, even if it means making an empty room that no one joins.

I responded the way I did because the first post asked for other users' opinions on the game at this point in time. That's my honest opinion, but I do know that there are other who do like the single player aspect of the game. It also seemed to me that Hobbescene leans more towards racing than just driving, hopefully I didn't misread him.

b spec 40 .a spec 39 and a bit ..will continue to 40 as quick as possible ,,``just because`` now ..lol....having bought a dfgt not long ago .i will start all over again when said task is completed..the dfgt has made the game even more pleasurable.

No, you're most definitely not open minded.

Sure it is a very broad statement and it doesn't back up much of anything but is it not a valid point that in most cases is true? I did say this because I don't think we need to critique each aspect of GT5 and I think it is a great game that most people will continue to spend their money on. I also think many people are finding even more flaws in GT5 because it has been out for a little while now and people seem to be getting a bit "bored" of it.

👍 Had a DFGT from before and am now switching to a G27 for pc based games..
I'd have a hard time going back to a DS3 these days, though having steering on the left stick and throttle/brake on the right one used to be enjoyable for ps2 games before i switched..

True - I got another 3 months out of it, and I know I'll always come back. Probably because the 360 & Forza 4 won't support my DFGT though, otherwise, who knows...?
