amazon.co.uk refuses to give redeem-codes

Can you please post your email which u wrote to Amazon? I live in Germany too and they only offered me 5 pound discount :(. I willt ry again.
 
We should defenetly get this issue up to sony.
 
Same issue for me. No preorder codes since i live in Denmark, even though I was eligible for when i placed the order.

Yeh, I never read anything either to say I wouldnt get it if I lived outside the UK

Well, Ireland doesnt have an amazon, amazon.ie just redirects to amazon.co.uk

I cant promise that i works outside denmark (should work in EU though).

I had done this before. But like I said, I used a contact form on their website. And as in all mails from amazon, it says

I ordered off Amazon, and they refused to give me the pre-order bonus, even tho i pre-ordered it months ago. terrible customer support, 3 replies with them and they still won't budge, saying because I am in Ireland they won't send them.

thats funny mf gf just replied to the email and they responded with the codes
 
I preordered my game from the German amazon page and didn't get any codes either. I contacted amazon, but they say they do not know anything about it. Was this action for the US and the UK only?
 
My copy of the game was bought from Amazon UK, on pre-order, and I'm a UK resident but they won't give me the codes because I have the Collectors Edition.

Has any body with the CE version managed to get the 'Stealth Cars' code from Amazon UK?
 
I got one last week, I got a Mazda 787B Race Car(BLACK STEALTH). Amazon said there's a few more to come but I have not got them as yet. At least I got one especially since I had this game on pre-order from them since Feb 2007 when Amazon first advertised it for £49.00.
 
I emailed them and they said "Your account is not eligible for the codes" basicly. quite sad :(, i don't get how they can do that.
 
I pre ordered mine just before I left the UK with my UK card and left the account open until the Amazon payment went through. Got the game this morning and the e mail yesterday saying I could not have the codes because I live abroad.

I have e mailed them back via their website under the help section. Hoping I will get my codes....having said that, I never knew that there would be any codes until they told me I wasn't getting them, so no major loss, but it would be nice to get them now.

Hey Dan, I mailed them yesterday after reading this thread and they sent me the codes today for the Mclaren and 787B.

Like yourself I pre-ordered the CE, maybe you could mail them again see if you have better luck.

They refused me too. This is their response...

"Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk with your enquiry concerning the Promotional offer of "2 Stealth Cars" for preordering "Gran Turismo 5".

In order to take advantage of this promotion, you must pre ordered the item "Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)" on or before the 20th November 2010. Two codes will be issued per unit ordered, up to a maximum of four codes per customer. Orders placed on or before this date will receive two codes, one for each car, on Wednesday 24 November 2010.

However, as I have checked on you account, I can confirm that you have purchased the item "Gran Turismo 5: Collector's Edition (PS3)". Unfortunately, the promotion is only applicable for the item "Gran Turismo 5 (PS3)"

I'm sorry if this means that you are not eligible on this occasion, but our Terms and Conditions cannot be altered for various reasons."
 
Thats just ridiculous, you buy the more expensive collectors edition, that is meant to include more, and you get less. I also got the collectors edition and preordered mine on the 15th, makes me sad. I really want the Stealth Mclaren F1... bah.

Amazon.co.uk really messed this up.

They have stated three conditions which must all be true for you to be eligible for their pre-order bonus offer:

- Your order must've been made on or before November 15th
- You must've ordered standard edition of GT5
- You must be located in UK

Now, I placed my order on November 18th (later that 15th), I ordered Collectors Edition (as opposed to standard edition) and I live here in Finland (definitely outside UK). So I fail on all three conditions but still they sent me the codes for McLaren F1 and Mazda 787B stealth cars, which by the way work just fine outside UK as well (expect them to work within whole EU region).

It's a complete lottery, and I got lucky. But it's sad to see how some fellow racers have been screwed.
