2GB isn't really needed. It is only really needed in high end stuff like CG Animation, Video Editing, professional photo editing, advertising, CAD, etc. 2 sticks of 512MB will suit you. this will enable dual channeling. If you really have nothing to spend your money on, and you want to throw money at your computer part vendor of choice (newgg.com is the best for the states) you can use it on a 6800GT or X800XT. Dual 10,000RPM 74GB Raptor Hard Drives would help more than you'd think, too.sp74SupraAnd another question i have is, would 2GHz of memory be really really helpful for games like Mafia, CS, and COD etc...., should i get 2 sticks of 1,024 or 4 of 512? Guys you've been great, Many thanks.
Nope, everything is good.sp74SupraSo theres something wrong with the parts I put together?
Dont forget 1mb Level 2 cache.TVR&Ferrari_FanOk its 2.4GHZ with a 1600MHZ in other words 1.6GHZ FSB, and also a FX-53 is the best AMD 64 CPU for desktop for the gaming side of things.
