Iran claiming no "irreversible damage" at Fordow. I don't know what that means, but it feels like an escalation off-ramp, hopefully. Will Israel stop bombing Iran now? Somehow I doubt it.

I don't know what this means for the rules-based global order either. Does the UN have any legitimacy now? I don't know if it ever did, truly, but does law mean anything? From Iran's perspective, they signed an agreement in 2015 with global powers. That agreement was followed by them, but then broken by the United States for no 'lawful' reason. And then while in the process of diplomacy to solve the latest escalation, they were attacked by Israel and then the United States. What's the lesson in all this? The only thing that seems to matter is how much might you have. Seems like we are moving to a pre-WW2 like era where nations simply race to arm themselves to fend off bigger/aggressive neighbors. Will countries start leaving the UN? Will they start leaving the Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty? Libya, Ukraine, Iran - all learned one lesson, and North Korea learned the opposite lesson.

Turkey, at least, isn't waiting to find out.

Erdogan says Israel-Iran war near ‘point of no return,’ vows to boost missile production

I feel increasingly negative that humanity will survive into the next century.

It would be a real shame if someone ends up shooting this bitch between the tits.

I also read from someone else who caustically said that them having no identification and arresting people means they are impersonating a police officer.

It's quite Third Reich for this guy to have his own unaccountable paramilitary rounding up declared undesirables and enemies of the state.

Trump really just watched Top Gun Maverick to come up with war plans, didn't he?
I suppose so, it doesn't surprise me. I knew he was planning something big. Let's see how far this war lasts.

He was thinking, peace as in “Peace, I’m out!”. It’s just going to continue messing things up for everyone. His camp will just blow it off and ignore Congress as usual.

So, how long till a Islamist goes bananas in an American mall, nightclub, or a busy street? Because that is what's going to happen.

My guess is something gets planned for 9/11 of this year. But I suspect we will have a smaller scale attack on or around July 4th.

We got plenty of "Made in the USA" knockoffs doing the same year after year. Thoughts and prayers usually help.
Reminded me of this song...

It was written during Trump's last term and is thought to be a call out to world leaders for their inability to see and act in anyway to benefit the citizens of their own country. The opening verse has the line "'Thoughts and prayers' adorable, like cake in a crisis. We're bleeding out."

Quite poignant given Trump is acting in his own interest, sowing division amongst political groups, deporting anyone he doesn't like, threatening establishments that don't toe the line, using ICE, the National Guard and Military as his personal staff, while telling American citizens that it's okay, it's all in the US' best interests, he's doing it for you guys.

Again, it's increasingly likely that one who does not need to be prescribed antipsychotics is going to be so motivated by legitimate grievance and a lack of legal remedy to put the Fake Bake bitch down. That individual may have been trained by the United States to kill. And it will be just and right and good and I will bake a cake to celebrate it.

See, told you we’ve got enough domestic supply of those gun crazies that we don’t need Iran’s help. ICE probably kicking some Iranians out as we speak, so someone had to step up. Of course it was a brave, white man. I bet he wasn’t even paid for this.

I love how “His motive remains unclear, but it appears he was suffering from a mental health crisis”. Didn’t forget to wear his tactical vest though. I guess it’s like a first aid kit for those poor white mental health sufferers: AR and a tactical vest. Kill a few undesirables and it’s all better.

Hmm, why come there are so many history books and video of days long gone and history is still repeating itself?

Why do you think they're trying so hard to rewrite and delete history that contradicts their favored narative?

Trump's post-bombing speech included this about 1:20 into the podcast - “Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nucular endroosament capacity...”

And a little earlier, his narcissism caused him to claim - “Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.

However, it's days later and Israel continues to bomb the key site of Fordo, despite it being "completely and totally obliterated".

Hard to tell, but I don't think I would put it past Israel to bomb a hole in the ground to keep up appearances or even target engineering and clean-up teams that are investigating the site.

Iran signed a deal in 2015 to curb its nuclear program, Trump stepped out of that deal. Iran wanted to talk again, Isreal bombed Iran. Iran wanted to talk again to Europe, USA bombs them.

It's such an act of violence, wow. He should be jailed.
Trump committing war crimes is probably the most presidential thing he's done. All presidents, regardless of their party affiliation, commit war crimes.

Guess what I've been reading a lot in my emails from our clients lately...?
In addition to this issue, we need to discuss the tariff costs were charged with - we were unaware that we had to pay all of the tariff costs and they were not included in the quote we received.

Can we set up a meeting for tomorrow please?
I always feel like answering they should reach out to their Orange Baboon and clarify things with him.

Not surprised Iran feels threatened.

I'm not entirely sure how accurate that is. The US doesn't have a base in Kyrgyzstan, and one of those flags is on the Transit Center Manas, which was returned to Kyrgyzstan in 2014. It pulled out of Uzbekistan and Pakistan too. It seems like whoever created the map just included a bunch of historical bases, not active ones. Granted, the US still has plenty of operating bases in and around the Middle East.

Religious dictatorship takes a democratic vote to pass a resolution to close a shipping channel along its waters to a higher democratic body after being bombed by the leader of a representative democracy in a unilateral decision without a vote of approval from its elected legislature is an Opposite Day mood for which I wasn't fully prepared.

So it's obviously not possible to state convincingly what things would be like in such an alternate reality, but it is vanishingly difficult to imagine a political moment anything like the current one if more worthless Trumpers (but I repeat myself) had been Babbitted at the Capitol on January 6th.

They can't close the Straight because they're the ones shipping their oil out of it, lol. As you know, whether something is democratic or not has no bearing on whether it's right or wrong.

The ceasefire idea was cute though.
