The video went viral and there is a chance Connor's employer caught wind of it without him even saying anything. I don't know how the law works in the US but if the employer does not want Connor and his (extreme) views to be associated with them, they should be in their right to let him go. There's also potential implications that might have arised depending on the nature of his work.
The laws depend on where you live. Most states have "at will" laws, which essentially mean that a private company can fire you for almost any reason, as long as that reason isn't illegal. Even then, I believe it's up to the terminated employee to prove that they were terminated for an illegal reason. I don't know who that guy is or where he lives (the chick posting about seems to be Canadian) so I'm not sure what the laws are. Even if he claims they fired him for his politics, the company's HR likely can come up with something that shows a pattern of behavior that violates a company policy. For example, you could easily pull his computer records and see that he's goofing off on the Internet and not using the work computer for work-related activities; therefore, he is committing time theft.
Sounds like a very common story.
Trumpism is already a war against liberalism and the current rule of law. Under Trump, Republicans are seeking to establish a new system of law, one that doesn't bother itself much with minutiae such as democracy, due process or the Constitution.
They love their power too much to listen to the people who voted for them to run the country.

Lol. He's not getting impeached. He could probably flat out commit murder of one of his "treasonous" predecessors and at least 1/3rd of Congress will still be afraid to act. He's a made man unless someone grows a spine, and nobody in the legislative or judicial branches have one to grow.
