The video went viral and there is a chance Connor's employer caught wind of it without him even saying anything. I don't know how the law works in the US but if the employer does not want Connor and his (extreme) views to be associated with them, they should be in their right to let him go. There's also potential implications that might have arised depending on the nature of his work.Political affiliation is for some strange reason not a protected class. Maybe he shouldn't have made it known at the workplace.
The laws depend on where you live. Most states have "at will" laws, which essentially mean that a private company can fire you for almost any reason, as long as that reason isn't illegal. Even then, I believe it's up to the terminated employee to prove that they were terminated for an illegal reason. I don't know who that guy is or where he lives (the chick posting about seems to be Canadian) so I'm not sure what the laws are. Even if he claims they fired him for his politics, the company's HR likely can come up with something that shows a pattern of behavior that violates a company policy. For example, you could easily pull his computer records and see that he's goofing off on the Internet and not using the work computer for work-related activities; therefore, he is committing time theft. The video went viral and there is a chance Connor's employer caught wind of it without him even saying anything. Sounds like a very common story.I have been sharing political posts and news and accusations on my Instagram story basically nonstop for like two weeks and not a single conservative friend of mine has said a word to me about any of it.
They've either all blocked me or they've finally figured it out.
I highly doubt any of them will ever admit they made a mistake at the ballot box.
Trumpism is already a war against liberalism and the current rule of law. Under Trump, Republicans are seeking to establish a new system of law, one that doesn't bother itself much with minutiae such as democracy, due process or the Constitution. We are in the midst of a coup. The president has made threats adjacent to civil war. Republicans are openly protecting rapists and pedophiles. Their entire platform is designed specifically around enriching themselves as quickly as possible. Historically, solutions to problems of this sort have not been particularly peaceful. I feel we are in for a very bad time and frankly some may need to break certain laws in order to enforce others. That sounds ridiculous but historically the only truly effective method of resolving problems like what we're witnessing is war, and establishing a completely new system of law afterward.
Republicans are attempting to destroy America as we speak.
They love their power too much to listen to the people who voted for them to run the country.Sounds like a very common story.
The trouble is, if you already live in a fact-free, belief-driven bubble like a lot of US conservatives have done for most of their lives, they are very unlikely to engage in debate now, especially if they've tried and failed miserably before - the creationism debate springs to mind.
A second Trump presidency is the result of this phenomenon writ large.

It is the height of irony that Trump himself incited the violent overthrow of a democratically elected government, only now to be in the position where those same people who believed Trump's lies about the 2020 election ought to be overthrowing a true tyrant, who really doesn't give a flying **** about their rights, or their beloved Constitution.
In the states, it's TACO Tuesday, isn't it?
Your boy drops the law suit against the WSJ.
He'd have to answer questions as to why a judge would rule in his favour. Plus, a judge that's got his number is presiding over the case.
Pretty unsurprising in the grand scheme of things. He's pulled this stunt before either hoping for a settlement, or more likely, to get PR out of it so the rabid influencers can claim "Daddy Trump time" or some weird **** about how he can't be messed with. And then quietly never mentions it again.
He been playing too much and I feel something like this will be the turning point.I wonder if he's scared that the discovery of defamation might require him to produce the Epstein information?
Lol. He's not getting impeached. He could probably flat out commit murder of one of his "treasonous" predecessors and at least 1/3rd of Congress will still be afraid to act. He's a made man unless someone grows a spine, and nobody in the legislative or judicial branches have one to grow.I'm not expecting impeachment or any type of removal from office, because he's done so much bad and still got the white house residency.
I am hoping to see him shrink smaller and smaller.
There is vanishingly little chance the suit proceeds that far.I wonder if he's scared that the discovery of defamation might require him to produce the Epstein information?
If this was the Ukraine thread, I'd ask if there were any open windows nearby...Weird. Roy Black, defense attorney who secured Epstein's illegal non-prosecution deal from US Attorney later appointed by Trump to Secretary of Labor, has died.
There is vanishingly little chance the suit proceeds that far.
Trump probably isn't the type to push people out windows. He'd stiff him on bills. If this was the Ukraine thread, I'd ask if there were any open windows nearby...
"You better do this right now, or I'm going to shoot myself in the foot."
Ding ding ding.Maybe the EU is supposed to force drug companies to lower their prices so the automakers don't get punished?
They'll have to start driving Tatas.his wealthy backers aren't going to like the idea they can't buy their luxury automobiles anymore
DOJ wants to talk to Trump's incarcerated friend, Ghislaine about something.
Maybe she has incredibly clear memories that Trump never did anything remotely untoward during his long and very close friendship with Epstein.
Maybe she would like a special get-out-of-jail-free card or something?
Pardon me while I speculate.

Trump will complain it is a witch hunt and Congress will suddenly decide it's not important. You've got this backwards. Trump's DOJ absolutely does not want to question Maxwell which is why they haven't bothered with it - a House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform subpeonaed her, and the DoJ must comply.
Also, the same committee just yesterday subpeona*ed* the DoJ to release the Epstein records.
I fully expext them to ignore that second one, be held in contempt of Congress, and begin another excrutiatingly long process of nonsense. The DoJ obviously can't prosecute itself so there would need to be special councel and it's a whole ****ing donkey show after that. Precisely how Trump prefers it.
They've already done it. Speaker Johnson adjourned the Congressional session a couple days early to block a congress-wide vote which is why the committee had to do it instead.Trump will complain it is a witch hunt and Congress will suddenly decide it's not important.
