First the bullets were trans, then the shooter was trans, now the partner/roommate is trans - and that's all despite considerable indications that the shooter is allied to an even-more nuts arm of MAGA that recently turned on Kirk for not being loyal enough to 0.957 (by calling for the release of the Epstein files).

They literally want civil war. The first reactions from all of these concave-skulled grifters was to call for civil war and, even in the knowledge that this has all the appearance of a groomed lone gunman acting on a perceive internal MAGA schism, the pop-up wacky waving inflatable outrage dicks (like Erika Kirk) are skill going on about the "them" who perpetrated it.

As someone who gets federal holidays off, it really should be its own holiday, preferably in the summer and celebrated on either a Friday or a Monday. Or you know what? Let's have it celebrated on both Friday and Monday in the middle of July.

Reminds me of when Thatcher wanted to cancel May Day (our equivalent of Labor Day) for being too socialist and replace it with Trafalgar Day in honour of Admiral Nelson. This would been even later in October so the idea was rightly given short shrift.

In earlier pages I was a bit optimistically naive(I'ma use that) about thinking Democrats could band together to prevent Trump screwing with midterm elections. Then, I had to remind myself of the blitzkrieg he unleashed as soon as he won the election.

It was a ripple in the water that became a wave to the Democrats and was too late to sound the alarm. Politicians like Berney Sanders and Democratic YouTubers had been sounding the alarm since his first term. They dropped their guard when Biden took office and the Republicans did an MCU Quicksilver on Democrats.

The USA being dangerously close to a collapsing democracy was on election day. It's happening in real time. Interesting times.

So apparently they have a vigil at the college I went to for that white guy that died last week.
Apparently it’s organized, in part, by “Network of Enlightened Women”. I was like, did Democrats decide to lose their mind? Nope, apparently that’s a name of a conservative organization. I’m surprised these girls are still attending college, if they are so “Enlightened”. I guess they didn’t listen to Kirk well enough or they wouldn’t be wasting their time at the university.

Ah, the words of an ignorant, wealthy moron.

Unless the average conservative dad plans to pull up his boot straps even more, even conservative women realize it takes 2 working parents to afford kids in this current day, esp. 3 children. Because, unfortunately, we can't all be paid millions to sit behind a microphone.

Edit* That is the recognition of course, Charlie was dog whistling the belief that women would be happier being breeding stock than working for themselves.

Humankind is made of millions of different people, people with differing opinions and perspectives.

The trick in getting by as a global society is to recognize that every different person with a different opinion, has every right to that opinion. If you understand that, it becomes a lot easier to accept and understand other people's opinions, that your opinion isn't "right" or "correct", instead of trying to reject and silence them.

I don't agree with any murders... but sometimes unfortunately, you have to have gun deaths so you can have the 2nd amendment to protect your other 'insert deity of your choice here' given rights... or words to that affect.
