well i think we get 6 in GT4, according to that list, so thats pretty sweet. i thinks its great that people r supporting aussies cars

australia continued the falcon from there
With an Australian design made in Australian factorys.

From the Aussie Coupes website:
In October 1968, work was completed after three Australian designers had worked 90 hours. Dearborn was so impressed with the work achieved by the Australian stylists that Ford Australia was told to build itself a design center.

Then, wont the car fall apart after the third lap?

Relax, only joking. I think the game should feature more "thunder, from the land down under" but I doubt we'll see more that two cars. Which, I admit, sucks, but PD has to draw a line somewhere.

if they put the new GTO in GT4, itd be a cool drift car, if you dont know, in the D1GP, Rhys Millen in competing in a 2004 Pontiac GTO, yes an american/Australian V8 raor in the middle of a bunch of whiney 4-bangers (not that I dont like my 4-cyls). but it would be also cool to include a 1970 ElCamino SS to drift. Me Likey!! Fun! Fun!

Here's adumd question from the land of ice and snow. What kind of car was in Mad Max? The intercepter. It reminded me of a AMX. Nice lines, I thimk it would be a nice Ausse hot rod.

The black car was a 1973 XB Falcon Coupe. The yellow one was a XB Falcon sedan.

Cool I'll take one of each please :D

If they had severe shortage of fuel in mad max how come they drove around in muscle cars anyway? Surely they'd want a Honda Vtec engine or something

Give me a 1970 GTX and Im a happy guy.

ALL BOW DOWN TO THE MIGHTY SC/RAMBLER!!!!!!!!!:trouble:

The BOSS 351 was faster than both BOSS 302's and BOSS 429's, and handled almost as well as a 302.

I'd much rather have a BOSS 351 in the game than a BOSS 429 at the very least...

Preferably I'd like to see all three in the game, of course.:D

Would anyone want to discuss more about the possibilities of your favorite American car perhaps making an appearance in GT4?

As an update, Superformance models would be a nice addition, not to mention those bad boys at Saleen. I'd love racing either the Saleen S7 that was racing Laguna Seca in the ALMS, or the Konrad Motorsport Saleen S7. I call it America's McLaren, but it is possibly America's most true and complete sportscar to compete with anything European.

I'd like to see the return of the Vector (there were 2 of them in GT2)

Also high on my list is:

- Plymouth Prowler
- Chrysler Pronto Cruiser (prototype)
- Plymouth Roadrunner
- Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
- Mercury Cougar XR-7
- Ford Model B '32 (Hot Rod)

there are so many cars i would like to see its not even funny, but here is a small list ;)

67-69 MUSTANG
89-93 MUSTANG 5.0's
2000 COBRA-R {same as the one in GT3 but more colors}
2005 MUSTANG GT

VIPER RT/10 & GTS {again more color options YELLOW would be a nice change}

68-72 NOVA SS
68-72 CHEVELLE{ 70 CHEVELLE is already confimed}

and atleast one CAMARO & TRANS-AM from each generation. 👍

Since Chevy "might" have the SSR in the game, i think the Dodge Ram SRT would pone. That truck would be too fun on Seattle Short.

As for seeing some muscle, i was really happy to see the '70 Chevelle on there. It looked so great. Reminded me of the GT2 days. (But w/out the Chevelle)

I'd like to see a '57 Nomad in the game, but i think im dreaming way too hard. Also, the '69 Super Bee would be hot.

The list could go on and on, so i'll stop now.
James-

How'd you figure Chevy *might* have the SSR in GT4 when it IS in GT4.

Since i do not have the game, everything is a "might" in my book. I have seen screen shots that show it on there, but i just dont have the game. Sorry for any mix ups. Didnt mean for it to sound that way.

Nice list, but the reason why the 2000 Cobra R only has one color because it only came with rio red. Only 300 made.

Why have so may cars that handle awful and are no good in the turns but only on straights in a racing game of all things !! I respect US cars but not for their ability around the track bar the Corvette and GT40.

They all don't handle that bad and besides you can buy a suspension and they'll handle brilliantly. Look at the Trans Am series.

i know but in NFS: HP2 they had one that was yellow with black wheels, that would be sweet in GT4 👍

and i know you didnt coment on the viper colors, but in GT3 & GT4P there were the same colors avalible, and i know for a fact there are more colors.

I'd rather not, those cars must go down for the ugliest ever in car design history imo.

Well since GT4 will have the paint shop thing, we can paint any car any color we want. 👍

so what is your opinion of a good car??? in every game in the GT series there has been a major lack of AMERICAN cars, im not dissing JAPAN or EUROPE, but its time they equiled it out a bit.

But the point is that they handled well.
True, sorry about straying away from my own point, duuuh.

Well proper track cars or great handling proven cars, like Lotus, Subaru, Porsche (RUF), Alfa Romeo (their 156GT even though FWD is a beast on the track), Evo's, RX's, Escort Cosworth (please PD), Rally cars, Vauxhall/Opel (vx220/the speedster - engineered by Lotus), hot hatches, mercs, bm's, jags and so on.

PS Japan and Europe have the best handling cars in quantity compared to the US, that's why there's hardly any US manufacturers in the GT or any racing sim series for a fact.

This argument does become a little tiresome after a while.

Europe was represented in GT3 by 48 cars from 22 manufacturers (and 3 of those cars are repeated - the three Vauxhalls in the PAL/Europe English Language version are the three Opels everywhere else). The USA was represented by 22 cars from 7 manufacturers - technically Chrysler and Dodge ought to be the same, and indeed there's a little mixing of cars between the two depending on whether you play NTSC or PAL.

So that's a little under 4 cars per manufacturer for the USA, which includes "fringe" manufacturers like Panoz and Shelby, but 6 Chevrolets, 5 Fords and 4 Chrysler/Dodges, compared to a little over 2 cars per manufacturer for Europe, which includes "fringe" manufacturers like Lister and "Mini" (oh dear), but where BMW gets 1 car, Audi gets 2, Mercedes-Benz get 3 and VW get 4.

The US is not the only region which feels it is under-represented in GT3. Do not persistantly bang on about it.

Damn Famine I haven't noticed that. Europe and US need to be represented more. I know it's a Japanese game, but damn we're getting the short end of the stick here. 👎 If GT4 had more European and American cars I would never put my controller down.

but look at what cars are reprisented for AMERICA:

CHEVEROLET: 3 CORVETTES & 3 CAMAROS

CHRYSLER/DODGE: 1 PT CRUISER & 3 VIPERS

FORD: FOCUS RALLY CAR, ESCORT RALLY CAR, MUSTANG COBRA and 2 GT40's

SHELBY AMERICA: 1 COBRA

PANOZ: 1 ESPERANTE GTR-1

clearly there are more cars here in the U.S that should be added.
