   Also powered by an SVT engine.
Ahh Ahh Ahh! Not a full on SVT engine, they only borrowed the 4.6L engine block, nothing else...
And the 800 hp version is called the CCR, the normal version that is suposed to be getting it's top speed tested later this year is the CC8S. The Koenigsegg team is positive the 800 hp version can beat the McLaren's record. They not sure about the I beleive 655 hp version(CC8S), hence why it is supposed to be tested later this year.

:sly: It was worth a try.

They need the lingenfelter Vett. !! I have a mag that has the 0-60 at 2.9 at 790 bhp and it was on slicks ( the one on the website has street tires)
Is that the Vette with the 427 stroked motor in it?

No, It is just a stock Z06 (2003) that they turbo charged. It has a top speed of 230 but that is the lowest one that I have found (on the website) (usually around 254 mph) :)

McLaren will be always be the best imo, no need for superchargers or turbos to produce amazing speed and the handling is not too shabby either. You can go on about price etc but what car came from the production line and could do 230mph+ with 3 people in it.

I must be thinking of a different one then.

Hiya! :D :O  Meow! (='.'=)

For me now... I am really starting to like the 2004 Ford GT as possibly my most favorite American Muscle now :O It seems to me that it have some great resemblance to the GT40 and I really like playing that car in GT3. :O
I played around with the Ford GT and really luv it!:O:O I have yet to see one with my own eyes...:O and just from playing GT:Prologue, I can teel its gonna make it in and be in my game garage :O:O

Before beginning this reply, John's sending a mad shoutout to the Sydney Swans who was hauling major ass to take the lead against the Essendon Bombers down there playing Australian Rules Football. As of the time of this reply, the score is 38-34, Sydney. Final score is 110-90. Congratulations to the Sydney Swans. Good job, guys!

And that Ford GT should be a badass car to race around and around. In GT2, the GT40 Race Car was so agile. I think after tuning, it's an athlete. It can perhaps juke to the left and right like a touchdown-bound NFL running back (come back soon, Ricky Williams! The Miami Dolphins wouldn't be the same without you!). Wherever the GT40 or GT gets a race start, it can basically own. McLaren'sAngel, did you check out the video of the Ford GT taking on Costa di Amalfi? If you love the Ford GT, check out that video.

For the moment, I have a Ford GT in the PS2 game "Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3." The bad thing is, it sucks in the rain or at high speed. Can't really tune it to be great on dry and wet surfaces on Japanese highways. And some off-topic, happy 100 posts, "American Cars!" Anyhow, any more American car talk? Anything from an underpowered American car all the way up to classic American race cars is acceptable here! Go for it, folks!

Is there a link I can quick click on to get to video of the Ford GT on that track? :O:O :odd:

Lady McLaren! (bows down, throwing rose petals and laying out red carpet)

Take a look at this forum post from this *STICKIED* thread:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1082833&postcount=1

Scroll down and look for "Costa di Amalfi." But if you want to check it out right now, first off... calm down, Miss McLaren. I know you want to race not only the McLaren but also the Ford GT, but don't get real excited... Cool now? Alright. There are a total of six links. The first three are trackside, while the other three are in car. I recommend getting NetTransport (http://www.xi-soft.com/download.htm) to download them to your computer, if you wish to keep them. Anyhow, here are the websites:

Everyone, have a great day. And good luck to all NASCAR Busch and Nextel Cup competitors down in the Volunteer State's (Tennessee) "Thunder Valley" at Bristol for two straight night races. Go get them in Cup, Jeff Gordon! Anyhow, I'll go back to watching this telenovela, "Corazones al Limite" with that hottie Sherlyn. Take care McLaren'sAngel, and others.

Yeah the Ford GT has really been shutting up alot of Ford haters lately.
The folks at Top Gear loved the car! And it beat the time a Ferrari Challenge Stradale put up on their track. Hell Jeremy from Top Gear even bought one of the only 28 that are heading for Europe. It's a very beautiful car and ownz any other car within it's price range in terms of 0-60 time and top speed. In some aspects it even beats out the SLR McLaren and the Carrera GT, in 0-60 and 0-100 I beleive...
Ford just keeps putting out all these great concepts and the cars that come from these concepts are jsut as great!

I never said I hated Ford. Gosh... And if I want a performance car from them, it will be a GT, GT40, or a sweet Mustang. Saleen Mustangs would be sweeter than sugar. Saleen S7? Freaking sick, man! I think American cars will seriously deliver in GT4. And don't get mad if you don't see any American classics that you like. I'm pretty sure American car fans won't be disappointed come GT4's release.

2005 GTO Judge Ram-Air 6: 500hp LS2 engine, functional Ram Air. Prototype or production, I don't care - I want this car to in the game!!! Super-musclecar lives on in the 21st century....

Much better. That's how the GTO SHOULD look like. 👍 Speaking of American cars are any of you American car enthusiests disappointed with the car list so far?

....... uh, the gto IS the Monaro, they're all the saem car, kinda like the Toyota Matrix/Vibe couple.

The C6 Corvette looks so cool, my only gripe is that it hauls TOO MUCH ass :) for a stock Corvette ( guess that means maybe no Z06? ) , and that they took away my pop up headlights!!! NOOOOO I love those

Eh I do beleive that GTO isn't a Gm concept but an aftermarket, and even if it is and does make prodution it will be typical GM, wayy to overpriced, and the new Cobra and the new Shelby Mustangs will be out and kicking ass. And I never said anyone here hated ford, but there are alot of ford haters in the automotive world.
It looks okay, but the who looking like every other Pontiac on the road is BS, and borrowing the entire car except the engine from another country? That's gay. The new GTO has no heritage behind it. It's just a terd with a Corvette engine that looks like a Grand Am...... 👎 GM doesn't know how to do performance right. Only in the 60s and some of the 70s did they have a clue, and now that SS badge on the Chevys, it stupid, cuz there is an SS of even the Impala, a worthles sedan, jsut like the new Monte Carlo, and that SS Silverado? (Isn't really anything special just a silverado with a bumper kit and some new badges, I know I have repaired many. Ford jsut does it all better. SVT is a real performance division, not jsut a badge. SVT Focus was a mean-ass mofo, and then it was just dropped, too much in SVT's hands I guess. But look at the Lightning, that is a sick truck and yeah the SRT-10 truck is faster, but how much more does it cost? And how many more cylinders does it have? That's okay the new gen Lightnings will be sporting 500 hp as well. And OH the real prize the SVT Cobra's, true factory performance, and yeah it has plastic interior, but hey it's muscle! Muscle don't need no all leather padded inteior. The Cobra's can eat Vettes, easy. And with some easy upgrades can see the Vette's headlights in the mirrors....

Dont think so buddy. I've give you some style points for the new Mustang, other than the rear deck looking like crap. But the performance aspect of ford is lack-luster at best. The GT-40 and Lightning are their only real true sports. They package mustangs so nicely that there are a million of them everyone. Thanks but no thanks.

And with some easy upgrades can see the Vette's headlights in the mirrors....

Its goin to take alot of upgrades to beat a new Z06. Especailly in the person in the vette is runnin street slicks.
James-

That GTO judge looks like it has plenty of get-up-and-go. Kind of looks alright the front. Perhaps the new GTO is going to get a muscular upgrade. I'd probably just take the horsepower upgrades and build up the new GTO with that sort of power. Even I have a thing for horsepower at times. I'm just different. I say bring on the GTO. New and old.

Off-topic, congratulations to:
Dale Earnhardt Jr. - Bristol winner in Busch and Cup.
USC - for defeating Virginia Tech 23-17 (I believe) in the "BCA Classic."
ESPN - wonderful "Behind the Scenes" coverage of the game.

American cars. Any more talk on them?

For the true Muscle Car enthusianst.

What was the fastest production car in 1970? *Hint* Its not the Chevelle SS 454!
James-

*EDIT* I mean fastest 1/4 mile car.

American People would hate me since I don't know very much about American muscle, but I'll take three guesses.

(1) Chevrolet Camaro
(2) Pontiac GTO
(3) Ford Mustang Mach 1

Either those, or continue discussion.

So close yet so far.

It was the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1. It was the biggest sleeper in the muscle car era. Had a HiPo 455 w/ 4 speed Auto. The kicker was that it has either 3.73 or 4.11 gears out back. Beautiful car too. Thanks for playing!

What do ya'll think is the ugliest modern car that US makers build? Other than the PT Cruiser....:p
