I see nothing wrong with what Cowboys did in the video you posted. Going into the bus stop, he may of touched you, but you never touched the brakes so you just carried to much speed into the 2nd corner. And block at the last minute, even if he intentionally did it (doesn't look like it) its not an infraction. You tried a desperate move and failed.

As for 'blocking' on the bank, moving up a lane with still 2 lanes clear on the high side isn't blocking really. You had Plenty of room to continue on the high side.

ok after that last comment i know exactly whats gonna happen next in the thread lol(very familiar)....

lets just get this phrased properly....Mitch braked......but then let off the brake and never reapplied it going into the corner and therefore went off track

Someone please put a gun to my head and blow my brains out if that's not blocking. Changing your line like that on what is essentially a straight is blocking, no ifs, no buts.

The contact after we touched doors, that's acceptable? It looks like lag in the initial contact sent him a bit higher up the bank (no grass up there buddy so you can't say that would've sent you into it) but there's absolutely no reason to hit me like that, for all we know I could've ended up in the grass....

And right at the end, him weaving across the track like that isn't blocking?...

And Blaze, nice to see you're here! Stop making my life hell with the snide remarks please! Oh god I want to not be me so badly...


I'm off anyway, things to do. We'll see what gatrs makes of it...(and I'll get some better videos at some point)

I meant in the bus stop is where it would've sent me into the grass, and I went in front of you on pretty much a straight, you lost 2 mph Get over it. And the swerving was just partly messy error
 
After getting off the brakes you got back on the gas, so the bump (if any) didn't really effect you.

He changed 1 maybe 1 1/2 lane up then 1/2 lane back, not excessive weaving. You were still above him on the track before you made the move to the inside. The contact with the doors was from your car hitting the apron/banking transition and shooting you up into Cowboy causing his car to move around and back into you. Any sudden movements on the banking causes the car to squirm around a bit.

At the end he hit the grass and his car got out of shape, not him purposely moving across the track to block.

I did go to block to one side and the thing I think Mitch is mad about, this was in the final seconds of the races time limit

When your car shot out to the right? (left in the video) If so thats some amazing car control, I wouldn't think about trying a harsh move like that with worn tires. If you're talking about guarding the outside line after you shot out side I wouldn't consider that a block as there wasn't any more room on the outside only grass. Like I said a desperate move at the final second, but failed.

I consider a block you moving to where he would be to prevent him from passing. At the end you were all ready on the outside. The line through that corners requires you to be on the outside to straighten the corner out as much as possible and maintain speed through it. You were on that line, the only outside part was grass. If you moved into the grass, then yes you blocked. One move to block on a straight is acceptable. His slight move back to the inside I wouldn't consider that a move necessarily. No incident was the result of that slight move (other then the slight door rubbing) but didn't effect the outcome of the pass.

I went to block him in the grass direction but isn't blocking an F1 move, and if they try a second time, you allow them to pass on straights I thought for the block move?
 
So a confession? That's exactly whats annoying me, the race is only over when that timer hits 0 not once it pops up. And tiss, GT cars with the hp range they've got aren't the hardest thing to control like that (reason why I didnt brake ).

On the banking you're talking about?

You're car drifted up and I'm counting that as your move. If you tried to move down (i cant see in the video but you did move down some, not back tight on line though) then that would be a 2nd move. If I was a steward of the race, I wouldn't issue a penalty for this though personally. But let it be a warning, and if it continues then a penalty would be given.

In the end the pass was made, and you moving down had little effect on the pass (hes abrupt move down put him on the apron not your move down).

Confession? I said I blocked to one side, and you didn't brake so you ended up in the grass

It should be when you pass the start/finish again so you're not racing around the finished cars going 40mph. The bump seemed to have little effect on your car, and you thought the same as you accelerated.

Yea I dont see that as a block, you were just taking the racing line. Watch Mitches line through the same corner at 1:44 its the same.

It should but that's not what happens so you've got to race until the timer runs out...

It did have an effect, and no I didn't think "oh this is nothing". I tried to control the slide thru the left hand part of the corner but it just wasn't going to happen.

That alone is enough in my mind to warrant a penalty. Admitting to it would amount to pleading guilty in court, why shouldn't it be the same here where blocking is considered dirty racing?

And no cowboys, blocking exists in all forms of racing, they've just got uptight rules in F1. You'd be well served watching proper endurance and sportscar racing not that single seat spec borefest.

Inconclusive. It's not like he was swerving aggressively to block or to deny you the draft. You had the opportunity to make a move stick, then went for a gap that was never there.

Nothing personal, just giving my tuppence.
 
Obviously I was going to block, and then Mitch to carry this on for 6 hours for a race that lasted 1, for 1 point :/

Blocking is blocking, and that move right at the end was intentional blocking (as you've admitted to!) and it's just not on. There was a win at stake and fair driving would've made it a chance for me and you, you shutting the door in such a fashion is complete BS....

Mitch watch me in your video. Holy crap was I really that glitchy? And what's the order?

Someone needs to update the standings for the past two races. Not that it isn't going to depress me when I had a chance to place at least podium due to incidents...

I'm sorry guys. I think I took a few people out who I thought were glitching into me (it always shows yourself as running clean and others glitching). From now on if I suspect I'm causing issues like that I'll forfeit and watch the race safely off the track.

Also what's the next track?

Would appear my mind is playing tricks on me, I could've sworn That Guy said something about it here or in the room. I'll retract that statement until proof is given....but the statement about it being a clean race stands, you were far from it (I wasn't either but I worked hard after being pushed wide at the start to make it back to the front (and not to mention the already explained mess with klassykid which cost neither of us position, just time to the leaders)).

I'm wrong then! Geez, I practically admitted that in what I said...

You won the race, good job, end of the story. I'm obviously just being a cry baby over this so I'm done with it, move on!
