What's that? At least I'm going to a good track, Bristol.

I went to Le Mans and drove a McLaren F1 GTR, do I win?

Pics or it didn't happen

We were talking about who has/is going to the worst race.
So yes, you win.

:dopey:

Yeah, went over there to do marshalling for the weekend and just managed to land a seat at a table having dinner with the BRDC where Ray Bellm (former president of the BRDC IIRC) was also a guest. After talking that night I got to drive his F1 GTR.

fantasy lol.

Can't help jealousy I guess....

Damn....didn't make that connection! haha.

Call it as BS then, doesn't change the past

Yeah no. If you don't believe what I've said go ahead and call it BS, I don't have to prove it nor do I feel the need (yup, my ego isn't that big). But no matter what you feel like saying it doesn't change what I did in 08 now does it?

I miss alot in not being here for one day, Indy car is far from boring, if you watched the race on TV, it was epic :D

I saw the Indy junior race before the normal Indy race, then came the Indy race, where I wanted Lotus to win. Dario Franchitti who was leading and was winning by a good length, got spun out under caution, then at the end after some rain delay, the flag waver showed the green flag but a second after showing the yellow flag again, then I guess confusing the field and causing most of the people I wanted to win to wreck, and the #5 Lotus wrecked too, and Danica Patrick wrecked too, which really annoyed me, that Lotus was in the top 5 too, and Will Power, who was second place in points wrecked with them also, arguing with the officials, then flipping off the crowd, and then later I saw a guy rubbing his ass with a Will Power T-Shirt in the store saying "That's what you get for flipping off the crowd" lol :D and on the ride home I saw an Audi R8 and in Massachusetts coming home, the car shipment trucks were coming by, the ones with the Indy cars :D I saw The #5 Japanese Lotus, Ana Beatriz, Marco Andretti, another one and my dad said Scott Dixon's went by when I was asleep, and I got a Tony Kanaan Lotus T-Shirt :D

^^

Nice stuff, man 👍 I hope I can go to 12hrs of Sebring someday (I live at Tampa, so I'm fairly close), or any other popular race event.

I'd love to go to Sebring

Apparently Fuji will be on the calendar for next years World Endurance Championship, hopefully I can get a deal to go.

There's no good races here :( quite ironic considering it's the Automobile capital of the world :(

I'm guessing you mean Detroit? Didn't think there were any decent race tracks up there?

Chrysler is imported from there, at least the commercial says :p

Why even bring it up? Seems you're trying to stroke your ego to me (and it is that big).

Well Michigan in general, no good tracks even. Closest paved track is 90 miles away and it's a tiny oval, MIS is okay, but AFAIK they only host NASCAR. :(

It's called having some light hearted fun, what the hell is with everyone getting so damn serious?

If it was in 2008, you were 16 or 15 right? Even if you did they wouldn't let you go full speed right?

I've had my license since I was 15, in 08 I was 17 IIRC. But no, it was more of an 'open it up on the straights but don't fang it around corners' deal...

Ahhh I get it now, you got a hotlap sort of :)

I'm not gonna close the thread again since y'all have behaved yourselves. 👍
I'm going to Sebring in 2014 to see the US debut of the new Porsche LMP car. :D
My Grandparents live ten minutes from the track which is really convenient. 👍

Who says it'll be at Sebring for anything other than a private test? (ala Audi R18)

Their main goal is to win Le Mans.
If that means just "testing" at Sebring will get them that win, so be it.

Yeah, you've missed the private part :p

Sucks Porsche haven't taken on Ron Dennis' view of classic endurance races..."usually with the classic's like Le Mans and Spa winning them once is sufficient"....

17 isn't enough.
Need MOAR TROPHIES!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to 2013-2014 when McLaren finally brings out their own GT/Prototype to go for top honours :D
