So increase the HP of the other cars or adopt actual race cars....

Mitch, those cars are pretty much ready to go in the GT2 class of Jav's FIA series.
 
Guys, tonight I'd like to test out all the specs for GT.
So later tonight at like 9:00 (in 1.5 hours) I'll be either in my lounge or a public lobby.
Will you guys be able to come regardless of what class you're running?
 
I'll try to make it with my Viper. How late are you planning on running?

Yup, you can choose one when we get in the room and running. Being a Porsche guy, I call the RUF.
I'll have the XKR homologated also so we can run that too.
 
Are all the specs posted on the first post and accurate?
 
Hey gatrs, if I were to run in GTC can I change the rims on my F430?
Turns out you cant anyway....however the class looks like it could be fun so count me in for that :D

Well testing has shown something I expected to me....

At Laguna Seca, the F430 GTC managed a 1:24.652 and a 1:24.931 (could be better but not by much) with the F458 GT, seems kinda weird that a slower class should be just as fast as a supposedly faster class....

Tell them that gogatrs is going to come get them if you don't get two months of free high(er) speed service for your inconvenience.

Yessir!
With the exception of the McLaren and Audi as they have never been used in the ALMS.
I added the cars I felt we needed, and ditched the cars we don't need.
I believe you said it was just a copy of Jav's FIA GT2 specs, which it is.
I personally like the field the way it is.
Mitch wants it faster with more race cars which would mean RUF and Ferrari would be excluded.
I also think that the field we have now is going to be VERY good looking field.
If we were to start mixing race cars and RMs into that field, it would appear as if you're racing in two different classes.

I'd prefer the cars to be even than fast.
This would be third time that I'd have to rehomologate the cars and I have less than a week to do before the preseason.

As Mitch has said and I can confirm, the GTC class is only slightly slower than GT.

So we will have to limit the power of the F430. Simple as that.

What do the rest of you think?

What I mean by using race cars is use the GTPACO/GTPFIA spec for GT2/E instead of road cars. The point of creating the unified specs was to allow people to compete in multiple competitions with the same car and possibly create a 'used car market' after every season. Another reason also was a cross championship series which was supposed to draw some cars from this series but that wont be happening for anyone in GT.....

Mitch, those ARE the specs we're using.
With the exception of the F430.

I don't plan on using race cars in GT.
I'm sorry Mitch, but if all three series' were the same, why would you want to spend your time in three different championships.

If you reinstated GT2 into your series using Jav's current specs, which is what we are using now, then maybe we can talk about a cross championship and having similar schedules.

t_ray_z28, can you still connect to the internet using the PS3's web browser?

If you can, it might be a DNS error. Try changing your DNS settings via the XMB under network (where you set up your connection). Change the settings to:

DNS
Primary DNS 4.4.4.4
Secondary DNS 4.4.8.8

you can also try these octets as well:

DNS
Primary DNS 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS 208.67.220.220

Everything else can be left "as is."

If it doesn't work, reset to default settings.

By the way, GT5 censors class or classes.

No, it's not supposed to be like that, we can't make GT much faster, so we have to make GTC slower.
