Aren't you in new Zealand tho, won't that lag?

Nah, I'm from New Zealand but I'm in Australia. I've hosted 3 rounds now of the Le Mans Endurance Series and had no problems so I dont see why that would change....

So are we gonna stick with Monza?

Indeed, Monza no chicanes.

I don't think we should count this as exibhition :(

Yes I believe Mitch is going to host.

if he isn't sleeping.....

Guys, I've reached a decision.
This race, is going to have a helluva lot of people trying to get into the room.
That coupled with, as mentioned before, everyone downloading their games is going to lead to some major lag issues.

For these reasons, the race tonight is going to be an EXHIBITION race, meaning it's not going to be official.

We will repeat the race using the same track next week.

This means, that you guys can also run with Chicanes if you would like.
Or a different track completely.

Is everyone OK with that?

What free games, and What time does the actual race start?

Wasn't it, more or less, an exhibition anyway? It was a pre-season race that didn't could toward any sort of standings to begin with, right?

^ thats what I thought....

I figure were doing a 20 minute open qually?

Alright guys we'll be using a slightly different qualifying system for this based on the LMES seres qualifying.

Firstly, the LMP cars will have 10 mins on track to set a fastest time, upon the completion of that 10 minute period they will drive into the pits and wait there whilst the GT and GTC cars take to the track and have 10 mins. LMP guys can go make a coffee, talk to the spouse, eat a bagel, w/e. Once that 10 mins is up the race will start, yes start, since it will be set to fastest first there will be no need to muck around writing peoples qualifying position down and going thru that wasting of time.

Once the race starts you must wait on the grid. Do not move a centimeter (or inch) until I say so. I will tell the LMP cars to begin their pace lap, the speed limit is 100km/h or 62mph for both classes. Once I feel LMP is far enough ahead the GT and GTC field will then set off on their pace lap.

Once the leaders of the LMP cross the line they will start their race, once the leaders of GT cross the line the GT and GTC pack will start their race, got it?

Sounds good to me. I love doing parade laps, gives it a nice feel, and overall just fun.

I'm sorry, I didn't catch any of that. Could you repeat that? :dopey:

Seriously though, when are you going to open the room?

In about an hour.

The bolded parts are so people actually read it...

What time is the ACTUAL race starting? I still have to go hit my workout, and it'll be about an hour before I'm finished there, then still need a shower.

Current US EST time is 19:07 so in 53 minutes, got that t_ray? :dopey:

I know that, I mean, how long are hot laps/quali, cause I may be in last minute, if at all.

That's when the room opens, not race start...
Make sure there are only five people per class and one class can have six...
Start time is up to Mitch.
Sorry I'm gonna miss this guys.
But if I can somehow get the replay data, then we won't have to redo this one next week and we can go straight to Le Mans...

I know. I was just joking.

I can also export the replay data and upload it somewhere for you to download (i.e. Megaupload, Mediafire, etc.).

I know that, I mean I didnt read your post at the top of this page and am going to ask a silly question, how long are hot laps/quali, cause I didnt read your post, if at all.

Fixed! :dopey:

so 20 minutes then racing? if so i likely wont be there, havent started working out yet, because of all this word playing, still have an hour of it. so anyway, ill either be there or not. guess we'll see.. :grumpy:

I'll be waiting till everyone is in the room before qualis start but 8:30 is the longest I'll give you all to get in.

I thought the race was starting at 8, I could've got my workout in, but now I just ate dinner :P

Looks like I got a late night run in for me!

How many laps would everyone want to do? 30? 40? 50?

P90X for me!:sly:

I heard good stuff about that, despite it not having equipment (which I won't lie had me skeptical)

A little something to get your testosterone going that I stumbled across from the internet, second one is wallpaper status:
