The heavy damage can be a group decision, whichever you guys think we should do.
I personally think that with three classes running at once, we should use light. Heavy damage is just asking for mass chaos, plus, it's bad for your heart.

As for cowboy, that's up to him.

It'd stop people driving recklessly tho gatrs, I got hit so many times in that race its not funny, not to mention getting caught up in TKs crash trying to lap him.

Well if you cant ask him to drop down to that class turn heavy damage on, I'm sorry to sound like an arse to you cowboys but quite frankly your driving is just lunacy and you either cause crashes or get caught up in them far too often (and thats only after 2 races...). Take it as constructive criticism, I'm not trying to put you down but I'm just saying it, you really need to improve otherwise alot of people are going to suffer from your mistakes.
 
When was trying to catch Jamini through the high speed corner I troed to be cautious and overtake flyinhawaiin but since the road was thin I rear ended him and sent him into the sand
 
How'd your race go stormy? Until I got hit, I was trying my hardest to stick with you.

You gave me a love tap on that corner too ;)

Regardless though, a little more caution in these sections would be appreciated. We are all pushing hard to keep speed in these sections and can't easily move aside for you. Maybe until you have an easier pass you should slow down. Not natural instinct, but part of racing with slower traffic.
 
The races are usually long cowboys and with the traffic taking a more cautious approach can put you in the right place for a win. Endurance racing isnt all about bonzai laps, its about being consistent, staying out of trouble, managing your tires, fuel consumption, etc.

Great race to the others, man I was lucky that potato got caught behind cowboys at the end, really really lucky...haha

If he stays in LMP, you want the damage turned up, so you get punished more?

If he stays in LMP and heavy damage is on, he'll crash, we'll all pass him, he'll then limp to the pits, repair, crash again (no offence cowboys) at some point, pits again and he'll learn the hard way to ease up on the mental.
 
We have another pre season race, right? I wouldn't mind trying heavy damage out for that one I guess.
 
Heavy damage has worked so far for the LMES, we've had pretty good races and its stayed clean thanks to drivers being careful knowing a stuff up results in time in the pits.

Yes, but the person he hits will also pay.
He realizes his mistake and that's what matters.
I'll give him one more chance, then he moves down to either GTC or GT.

Pretty much uneventful, until the lapped traffic plowed through. Other than that, 1 pitstop again, and posted a 1:43.5 as my fastest time during the race. I noticed you were second in class for a while. What exactly happed?

On the high speed corner (turn 1?) the 787 hit me, put some wheels on the grass, ended up in spin city. Ended up getting passed by t_ray. In an attempt to catch him (didn't know if he had pitted yet). I went with a very low fuel stop (to avoid spending too much time in the pit). Didn't work out and ended running out at the end.

1 stop seems to be the way to go in GTC

I'm not a wall crasher, I just have trouble with overtaking the slower cars
 
Ok, we'll try heavy damage at the next preseason race.

The next preseason is going to be at Monza again guys.
If you guys don't want to do that track again, we can also do Daytona Road Course...

That explains why you were slow on the back straight. lol

I never said you were, but that trouble passing slower cars (you're in an LMP for christs sake) wait until you're on a straight then make the pass. Plus what happens when you do have an accident then have to pit to fix the damage, back behind all the slower cars....

Sup guys!

First, let me say sorry for all the people I've bumped into during the race. I bumped into a lot of folks and caused quite a few spin outs ((xamillion, tray, in particular)). I also knocked out Cowboy by accident during the 2nd to last lap of the race! Sorry!

I agree that heavy damage should be on. Light damage, though it affects your car, turns itself off after a certain amount of time, making a driver's racing inconsistent in my opinion. Having heavy damage on makes the race more cautious and more calculating as to make sure not to mess up your own car to affect your driving position.

For the LMP Class, I think those drivers need to be extra careful in how to navigate through the GT and GTC traffic. I think that the LMP cars needs to stay behind any cars that they can not pass on the straights and stay behind until a more than reasonable opening for overtaking presents itself. In my opinion, the GT and GTC cars should also take care not to purposely make maneuvers to yield to faster cars, rather, they should stay on course and let the faster cars worry about how to get in front of them than to have you figure out how to yield to them.

Overall, that was a very fun and intense race. Cowboy kept me on my toes throughout the race trying to catch up to him and forced errors and traffic related errors. I look forward to the next race!

I am up for running Monza again or trying out the Daytona Road Course.

I've gotten that like five times.
I've replied all five times telling them they're dumb donkeys.
I even got it from some random guy I was playing CoD with the other day.
Some people are just plain stupid.

I'm with you on the patience thing.

I think the fundamental principle here should be that lapping cars is supposed to be difficult, as it is IRL. Not in the sense that lappers shouldn't move over if possible, but more in the fact that we shouldn't ruin each other's races at the very least.

But seriously, weather at Le Mans can be tedious to say the least....
 
At least it's only preseason. That stuff (bumping, ruining someone's race) when there're points on the line might end up in fisticuffs on pit road...
