I'm watching the replay of the battle between pipi and jav. 👍

Jav if I would have been you and got disconnected I would have thrown my PS3 out of the window. :banghead:

just got done watching the replay, few things to point out to gtamann and that_guy.

gtamann we had the same tire wear, you could have stayed out with me and continued to duel :) i did notice that when you entered pit road you came in too fast and you got held an extra 7 seconds after the gas man released. you gotta slow down when you enter, im not sure if the limit is 60 but i was under that when i entered and didnt have a penalty. plus... you exited to the right when you came out of pit lane, not sure if you knew we were supposed to go left and behind the 1st turn. not pointing fingers, just an observation.

that_guy after my first pit stop you, gtaman and cowboys were all about 1 turn behind me. we were turning the same laps over and over but you pitted a 2nd time i think? when you came out i had a 48 second lead that you widdled down to about 35 seconds by race end. if you had only pit once during the race who knows?

Oh, I didn't know we were at the same levels :S I did enter the pits a bit too fast, so that explained the pit guys holding me back. And forgot to take the route at the left but luckily it didn't cause too much of a predicament.

But ah well. Hopefully we will do this again on Cote :)

@Kevin yeah should have only pitted once but I got booted off the track on the second lap which made my tires wear out pretty quick. What was crazy my tire were great new, not too good at half life, and great wore out? I was running low 1.46 with wore out tires. But I was coming Kevin after my second stop I spun three times. Good race that was fun..

I hope we have more LMP1 cars next race. Gators, if we only have 2 LMP1's next race, can we switch to all the same class either Lmp1 or 2?

Hey guys, would I be able to join in on this series? I would be a reserve of course, but my friend RB26x says the races usually only have like 14 people anyway.
GTP Username: Thursday7
PSN: Thursday37
Class: GT (if possible)
Car: either Ford GT or RUF. whichever makes more a variety, but I don't have a RUF so until I get one.....

Oh and by the way, last nights race at Daytona was RB26x on my PSN, but now this is actually me, Thursday37.

Man LMP2 is so damn fun! You should really consider switching!

gatrs any word on the Ford or are you pretty intent on keeping it where it is HP-wise?

In my final plea I will mention that last season the 458 got a bump (originally at 420 or 430, like the Ford) to 480 hp. I think the two cars are similar in handling capabilities, and that is why I think the Ford doesn't compete well at the given horsepower. A few seasons ago Jav did well with it but basically ALL the HPs and weights were different then. If you'll notice the Fords in the past few races have been bottom 5, regardless of who was driving. FH might be able to do better and make competitive times but even he has noted struggling with it a bit. I couldn't make up lost time on the corners at Daytona even though half the track was corners. I guess we can see how it does at Suzuka, hopefully FH will be feeling better by then and see what it's capable of at the given power.

I just think either a.) the 458 has a wopping advantage or
b.) the Ford is underpowered

b.

OK, I'll give it a 10 HP boost, we'll see how it does at Suzuka.

Im testing it out myself on daytona and the best ive gotten so far is a 1'46.1. Granted i worked with the vette for hours to achieve the 1'45s and i think if i put the time in i could get it there too. It is slower in a straight line i can tell, but you can get on the gas sooner coming out of the turns which makes it an excellent car for a technical track like monaco.

Or Suzuka.

So what's the decision on me joining as a reserve? I heard these races get pretty intense. I know it's mid season and all, but this really seems interesting.

We really only have open spaces in LMP1 and LMP2.
So we'd prefer that you race in one of those two classes.

I got lucky and picked up a pescarollo in the used today. I'll race in P2 now, but I really want a Judd! Anyone want to trade:tup:

10 HP should be nice for the Ford. I knew she was going to be slow in the straights but I thought it was an even trade for how well it handles. We'll probably be having this conversation again but on how we need to cut the power back once we get to a track that suits the Ford better. But for now...TOTALLY UNFAIR...NEED MORE POWER.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Is the Ford really better in the corners than the Ferrari? That's my central complaint about the 50hp difference between the two. If so, I'll shut up about it. Also the 458 has 7 gears. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that give it the ability for tighter gear ratios as well?

I tested the 458 out with the custom tranny and was able to accelerate pretty quickly than what I've observed so far. Perhaps I could do a Versus thing tomorrow between the two.

My internet's not working otherwise I'd come online to do some practice with you guys. Possibly the person sharing their internet caught on and finally got a password. If so I'll be lugging down to the campus again. I really hope not because that's a 🤬

I cant really speak for the Ferrari's as far as cornering goes. I've never really paid much attention to my 458 yet. But I dont like the 7 gears. For some reason it throws me off on which gear I need to be in when I go into a corner. :dunce:

 the opposite happened to me coming from the 458 to a regular gearbox.

EDIT: I still have my 458. I'm going to see what times I can set in each and how the two compare in corners. The one foreseeable advantage in corners I can see for the ford is its wide, low stance.

Also is the 458 rear-engine?

Can we get any kind of heads up on what the weather settings will be like at Suzuka? Or at least if we are going to start in the rain or not? I messed up big time with tire choice when we raced at Spa.
