Well, if you guys want the Corvette logo instead, I can do that no problem. Gatrs, what do you think?

GT5 and Pd know how to make cars look nice but the GT5 physics model does not do the FIA GT/LMP cars justice....For one its nearly impossible to drive the real cars with a joystick lol....And two GT5 force feedback apparently is not that good on wheels. And 3 the physics model makes the cars too easy to drive..I love the cars but i dont want to be given the impression that i could actually drive on without smacking into the wall in pitlane...

I don't think any of us have ever driven a real GT race car, or an LMP, so we wouldn't know this. On the other hand, Kaz has experience racing GT cars at least, and one of his GT Academy winners drives an LMP2. The downforce those cars produce and the grip of their tires probably make them a very fun experience, not a chore. Of course with a joystick you can't drive race cars, but this is a game, so making them drivable with one is a must. You don't want to scare away all of your customer base with cars that aren't able to be driven with a DS3, which comes with the PS3. That's what I like about GT. It's a good blend of SIM and game.

Seth has an excellent point. Sim racing on the consoles have to have a balance between realism and playability. If you lean too much in one direction, the balance breaks and renders the game unplayable either because the cars are too easy to drive, or the cars are completely un-drivable. Remember that the controllers, no matter their full range of analog sensitivity is, will always have more limits on them, more than that of a steering wheel.

Once I get home I'll start development work on a GT Vantage and Aventador :dopey:

False alarm...looks like I have to wait a bit longer....

Kind of sad that I'm waiting to see what else is broken instead of what else is fixed. I'll get on in a little bit and jump into some random lobbies to see if anything has changed.

Good to know they are on top of things.

Ehh, change my mind on the DLC. Not gonna buy it till they fix at least the online bug. Sad thing is I bought a 20 dollar PSN card for the DLC pack. Could have gone towards rFactor2. :(

Gonna +1 this.
Until the bug and tire wear are fixed, I'm going to take back that statement about buying the DLC for everyone.
Instead I'm going to buy everyone rFactor.

Download this: http://www.fangaming.com/download.php?fileid=2829
Wait for the ad to disappear then download. You'll have 40 minutes to play, then you'll need to buy the full version.
Note that that is completely unmodded.
It takes some effort to get FFB set up properly, cars downloaded, tracks downloaded, etc.
After you insall the game, don't play it. I'll get you hooked up with Enduracers first.

I'm tired of seeing the Rfactor crap in every race thread, there's subforums for that. Tire wear doesn't matter to me much. The bugs will get attention sooner or later. DLC is 10bucks. It's not going to break your bank.

You can get rfactor for less than 10 bucks ;)

Cant call it crap if you have never owned and raced it....

Someone bringing stress from home to the forums?

Either way the talk of rFactor and iRacing is because of GT5 online going to crap so we're looking for alternatives.

Never said Rfactor was crap, the discussion about it in every race thread is crap. It's cool and all, but it's not related to this series, unless gatrs is canceling it for Rfactor. Don't get personal again Mitch, you don't wanna go down that route. Stress is irrelevant as is your bringing it up.

Oh yes don't want to be called a little boy again  some people and respect....

There you go, going personal. You get called how you act. You jump to conclusions, name call, send pm's like you're a big shot and say how smart you are and how good you can fight... keep it, guy. I only said the Rfactor talk is getting annoying because it's not involved in this series. I didn't call you out, you're making silly comments about stress as if you can tell from an internet post. lol, must be that mitch 145 IQ at work!

Some people and not giving respect.
Please learn to give it in order to earn it.

I remember when I was given none and that still hasn't changed...

Not to clog the thread with crap are we taking this to rFactor or are we going to jump on another series?

I just think it's kind of funny that GT5 has been so heavily sabatoged that it's giving business to a PC sim that's somewhat older and lesser graphics.

rFactor2 is going to revolutionize sim racing, I hope. It seems promising. Rain, superb tire modeling.

In the mean time, I'm still excited to play in the ALMS league on GT5 and with the RUF league I'm starting, but beyond that I don't do much anymore with the game.

I'd get rFactor or iRacing, but I have no computer to handle it. So I'm stuck with GT5.

First I need a good computer, and a wheel. ;)

Screw DLC Gatrs, I want 1G up front! *hand gesture for money*

Lol, just kidding. :dopey:

I +5th TT13's post! :dopey:

My computer isn't a gaming rig either. I'm not sure if MotionInJoy is capable to porting the DS3 onto rFactor but if not, I'll have to invest in a wheel.
