I'd put up a vote for the Trans-Cammer for coolest muscle car (using the Top Gear criteria for cool... performance doesn't matter on the cool wall)

Exactly. To stick to the true sense of the word, the Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, Cudas and Cougars were all PONY CARS.

The muscle cars were the Chevelles, Chargers, Road Runners, GTOs, Torinos, SuperBirds.

I like any of the "small" muscle cars - the GT350, the '69 Camaro, the '70 Challenger, the 'Cuda, the C3 'Vette are musclecar favorites of mine, in real life and in the game.

I'd really love to have the Bullitt Mustang in the game, though - the '68 GT Fastback with the 390/4-speed combo and the dark green paint job.

I like how people didn't read the OP. Half of these cars arn't even in GT5. For me, the '70 Chevelle is it for me. I've owned 3 throughout my life. Great cars.

In the game, I like the Charger in black.
In real life, well, for pony cars, '69 Mustang in highland green and muscle cars, hmmm, let's see, either the AMC Machine, or a Plymouth Road Runner.

Modern: Dodge Viper ACR. My tuned one with 981bhp. Not just my favourite American Muscle car, but my favourite car in the whole game, I'd say.

Classic: Gotta be a 1969 Corvette Convertible. Tuned it almost fully, just left exhaust and gearbox standard. Accelerates like a scalded proverbial in 3rd and 4th.
